Excellent as always from Check In right through to Breakfast the next day. Staff attentive, helpful and polite. Room 1409 has the best view and the room was lovely and clean, only down side was shower over the bath but they said they didn’t do any with walk in showers!!

Great value for money. Rooms are comfortable with great views down the River Clyde. All staff were cheerful and helpful. Choice at breakfast was extensive although the queue for food was long and needs to be addressed.

We enjoyed our overnight stay here. The deal was really worth the money. The room was good with a nice comfortable bed and an excellent view. Evening meal was good but service was slow. We were asked if we wanted anything else even though we hadn't had our food yet. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The pool was lovely and quiet but the sauna and jacuzzi were broken. Parking is free with this deal so I would recommend doing this at reception. There are lots of parking machines asking you to pay so maybe this is the confusion about paying for parking. We will definitely use myhotelbreak.com for future deals.

We had a lovely stay, the hotel and leisure facilities were very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and great in size. The downfalls are that the restaurant/bar area was very very busy with limited number of staff and it took until main course to be served a drink. We had asked a couple of times during table seating and starter. The waitress was friendly however could see the team were perhaps under pressure with a failed till system. There was a boxing event on at the hotel but we only knew of this at the end, so unfortunately didn't get a chance to enquire about attending for something to do that evening. Breakfast was very good, delicious thick pieces of meat and large choice of food/snacks, however again very busy and unorganised stations of where food were and poor replenishes of empty dishes. We would stay again but perhaps on a different night of the week, it was rather enjoyable despite those issues.

My wife and I stayed overnight for our 53rd. Anniversary , from check in until our departure the staff , facilities , accommodation and food were exceptional . This was one of the most relaxing stays we have ever had . I would most certainly recommend the Crowne Plaza Glasgow . I would further recommend the help we received from myhotelbreaks for the exceptional deal they arranged for us .

Booked here for our anniversary to enjoy a relaxing night away and make use of the leisure facilities on the DBB package. Have stayed at the Plaza many times before and usually always have a wonderful experience, however on this occasion our stay was nothing short of shambolic. We phoned ahead prior to our stay to pre-book dinner as we had tickets to a show at the Hydro that evening. But on arrival was informed that the reservation was not put in place for us and that they could only offer us dinner 30 minutes before our show, eventually another member of staff stepped in and sorted it - but was absolutely ridiculous the way it was made out to be our fault that the reservation hadn’t been put in place when we had already phoned ahead. The staff member even suggested in future we “call again to ensure it’s definitely in place”, I have never ever had to phone twice to confirm a dinner reservation prior to a stay before and certainly didn’t think that would be necessary. We used the pool and spa facilities, except the hot tub wasn’t working and no one bothered to inform us of this until we arrived at the spa to use it and found out from another guest. There was a family with older kids in the pool who spent the entire time screaming and crying - other guests complained about the screaming but nothing was done about it and we eventually gave up and left. Hardly a relaxing atmosphere for a spa break. Dinner was fantastic as always and we cannot fault the food or restaurant service at all, we had a three course dinner which was absolutely excellent and the staff were so attentive and happy to get anything we needed. Breakfast was the same the following morning and absolutely delicious. The rooms are clean and spacious and comfortable and we had a lovely nights sleep, however that was short lived come the morning when house keeping entered our room unannounced THREE TIMES while we were still in bed! We had booked a late check out of 12pm, but from 10am onwards it was constant. The first time the woman walked into our room while we were sound asleep and then rushed out slamming the door behind her after waking us. My husband then went for a shower and she came in yet again without knocking and it was only when I stopped her to say that I was still in the bed that she turned about and left again. I checked our door and ensured that the do not disturb sign was still in place which it absolutely was, but this did not stop her from entering a third time when we were getting dressed to leave before slamming the door behind her again. A 12pm check out should not be advertised if guests are going to be hounded from 10am onwards to leave their rooms to allow it to be cleaned for the next guests. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. We used to stay here frequently and always enjoyed our relaxing breaks away, but I will definitely be looking elsewhere before booking again.

Very disappointed with check in procedure. Check in from 3pm but room wasn't ready till 4.30pm. Received a drink voucher to compensate. Dinner included but were told our table was booked for 5.30pm with no availability to change time. Bottle of prosecco to be in room but was not there neither was the complimentary bath robes. Phoned reception to advise about the prosseco and they advised it would be dealt with. Had to call back after half an hour as still not arrived. Room was lovely. Comfortable bed. Had a bottle of wine with lovely dinner and paid for the wine. At checkout receptionist advised we had to pay £55. On asking what the charge was she advised it was for dinner and the wine. Told her dinner was included and that the wine had been paid for. Showed her the receipt for the wine and it was removed from the bill. She then advised it was £4.49 for room service. We had no room service only the waiter bringing the prosseco that was supposed to be in the room on arrival. That was also removed. She then advised it was £5.40 for dinner service. I commented that dinner was included and certainly not paying for the dinner being served to us. She called a senior receptionist who asked if I had been advised of the 8% service charge. I told her that I hadn't been told. That was also removed. I have no idea how it amounted to £55 but in the end I wasn't charged. While in the foyer after checkout enjoying a nice drink, a lady, I think it was the restaurant manager approached the bar with a filthy mop and started shouting at the bar staff while shoving the filthy mop over the bar that she was fed up with them using the mop and not returning it and she was sick and tired having to look for it and in future to buy their own. I thought it was a disgusting way to talk to staff in front of customers. Considering this hotel houses lots of visitors to the city for events in the sec and hydro not to mention the bbc and stv, it does not bode well. I certainly will not be back nor will I recommend to anyone to book into the crowne plaza.

Fast check in. Room ready even though we were early. Friendly staff. Delicious lunch and breakfast. Only fault was staff in the bar could've been quicker to serve and to clean tables.

On arrival waited an extended amount of time whilst staff appeared to attend to a computer problem subsequently appearing that a manager became involved and asked the staff to serve us. During our 2 night stay we upgraded to club lounge which appeared to be good value for money only to find there was not enough snacks and were not replenished theoughout, the hot drink machine wasnt working during our full stay it was also conflicting information regards to complimentary continental breakfast which wasnt a thing but advertised as so. On second night of our stay we decided to eat to eat at the bar area. On trying to order two young members of staff had a debate on who was taking our order at the bar. The hotel with the rating that it has got. The service from staff and manner fell below our expectations.

Enjoyed our first stay at Crowne Plaza, however, there were a few issues. Our room we were first allocated was horrendously hot. We turned the thermostat down completely but it was still hot air that was blowing through. I went to reception to report it and ask if we could be moved to a different room but they said they would get maintenance to check the problem. On returning late afternoon we went to the room and it was obvious that maintenance had not solved the problem and all they had done was plug in a desk fan. There was no way we could have it switched on all night with the noise and it hadn't done much to bring down the temperature in the room anyway. I had to go back down to reception to ask again if we could be changed and by that time there seemed to only be one available twin room. Unfortunately this was on the 2nd floor where a large number of people attending the Xmas party in the hotel were staying. The overnight stay was therefore rather disturbed by shouting and arguing right outside our room in the corridor. There was also a very annoying squeaking noise for a large part of the evening and then it began again in the morning. I think it was perhaps coming from a pipe when someone in another room turned on water. Would also like to mention that the rooms are meant to be extra clean, however, the bathroom floor in the second room was not very clean. Prior to going out to a show and on returning we had a drink in the bar. Service was very slow due to the small number of staff and the large number of customers. One lift was out of order so every time I had to go down to reception, either to report incidents or when we were going in/of the hotel you had to wait for ages and it was difficult to get into the lift. The stairs that can be used by the public are not very visible. Even after someone at reception pointed out to us where they were we still couldn't find them. Overall I would definitely stay at the hotel again. It was just unfortunate that we had incidents with both rooms we were allocated. And also a very busy time of year with perhaps unadequate staffing levels.
