Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection and lots of options at breakfast although service was a bit slow - not sure there were enough staff especially on the Saturday morning. This is the most noisy hotel I've ever stayed in. Floorboards creaking in rooms and on corridors and dividing walls so thin we could hear or neighbour making unsavoury sounds early every morning. Meals were good, but not a huge choice. Cleanliness was acceptable but the prevailing impression was of a hotel in need of refurbishment.

We arrived at the crown hotel on the morning as was able to park our car straight away with no charge we got a permit to place in our car. Our room wasn't quite ready so the very polite lady at reception asked us to give them half an hour and our room would be ready. We got a voucher for our cream tea which we could use any time of the day the scone was warm with jam and clotted cream and a large pot of tea. Our room was on the third floor which isn't a problem as the hotel has a lift. Our room was very spacious very clean very large king sized bed which was comfortable extra pillows in the wardrobe. The bathroom could have been an extra bedroom the size of it. We were there for valentines night we booked into the restaurant and to our surprise they had a valentines meal on. It was a 3 course meal with tea or coffee and chocolates to finish with we also got a glass of champagne with our meal. The food was delicious. Our table was candle lit with heart confetti and crystal decorations which was a lovely touch so romantic. The next morning we had an all you can eat buffet which has a good variation of food. The hotel uses local produce which you can tell as it was lovely. The hotel has a lovely feel to it. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The drinks were a little expensive but most hotels are. The only problem with the hotel is creaky floor boards. I would definetly recommend this hotel the location is perfect right in the centre of Harrogate. I carnt wait to book up again and return to this hotel. Had an amazing time.

A few more things in the room to make it homely eg pictures on the wall, runner on the bed. Colour scheme of our room a little bland. Very good breakfast, hotel was easy to find, rooms generous size.

We stayed on a Sunday night for one night. Room was clean, of good standard and with all usual amen. We were lucky to get parking behind the hotel for free and also move to the front of the hotel in the evening. Parking may become an issue at busiest periods, although the receptionist assured us that even if we could not get hotel parking, there was free on street parking for overnight very close by. Reception provided us with tickets to display in car window. Hotel was traditional inside and although our room was modern and fresh, the hotel could could do with a little update/lick of paint. Breakfast was great, very good selection and even ready made porridge. Staff were friendly and attentive. Got a good price, so were happy with what we got for the price paid. Would stay again if in the area as is very central to the town.

Had a fantastic time at this hotel very central location , the room was massive and very clean the floor boards were creaky but this adds to the charm of this place. Was not keen of the bathroom but its personal choice as i prefer a separate shower not one over the bath but its not a deal breaker. The parking was an issue as not many spaces but were there just as someone was pulling out so not too bad for us, staff on reception very helpful and respectful , stayed room only so unable to comment on food or drinks. Would stay again the bed was very comfortable and everything was just right.

Had a lovely night stay at the crown was a bit worried when we arrived here as there was a wedding on, thinking it might be noisy but no never was an issue I'm pleased to say, top marks to staf very polite, had breakfast very nice selection, clean &a nice room will certainly come again

Staff in reception were brilliant, helpful and very professional. Only room available was the executive suite so we took it. The suite was amazing!!! And huge!!! Lovely big sitting area with 2 sofas, tv, sitting area and free mini bar. Bedroom was huge with a lovely comfy four poster bed and enormous bathroom with bath/showers and separate shower cubicle. The hotel had lots of character and quite elegant. The bar was nice and had good choice of drinks. The late bar was payment by card only. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had. A choice of continental foods and choice of cooked breakfast. Full English was help yourself. Lots of cereals, yoghurt, fruit etc to choose from. We had a great stay and will definitely be booking again
