I have to say I was actually disappointed with my stay at the Woodlands Hotel. There was nothing wrong with our stay it just was not as good as I expected it should be. I understand things have been difficult with covid and restrictions, however we were not given information at booking around how far in advance we would have to book leisure facilities (which meant we missed out on visiting throughout our full stay). This left my son disappointed. The most annoying point yo this was everytine we passed there was no one using the pool. I made 2 phonecalls to hotel and visited in person when I arrived to be told I would have my name put on a cancellation list. Each time there was no record of the previous contact. I also was not informed to pre book breakfast resulting in us having room service the first night, which was OK, but was much nicer to visit restaurant ,which is what we did on the second morning. We did book our dinner before hand, which was included in our package, and the food was delicious. The staff were great. I ordered a cheese selection to take to my room which was not much of a selection. There was only 2 types of cheese on it and tasted very much the same. The stay just left very much to be desired for. I was also charged a different price than what I was quoted in invoice. I just expected more from this hotel.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. 20 minutes walk into centre of broughty ferry. Great for a few days get away.

Well maintained very clean hotel where staff are professionals and courteous. Room was comfortable, dining experience in conjunction with Covid guidelines was efficient and food was good. Would recommend.

Although the staff were very pleasant, there were few of them and most were young and inexperienced. This led to a just average quality of service. Our room was very good, light and spacious, bathroom a bit dated. Food was disappointing based on previous reviews, quality OK but presentation not good. I had to warn senior staff of the poor attitude and behaviour of younger staff, something they should have noticed and sorted long before they were allowed to serve guests. At check out, was given a card and told "book with us direct, we offer better rates". Overall, I would not return.

Lovely room, with a pleasant view of quiet trees outside and a comfortable four poster bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent food and very reasonable. Jusch out for booking the spa facilities - you need to do it well in advance.

Lovely break in a superb location. Great breakfasts and dinner on first night. Staff working hard under difficult conditions. Rooms are clean but dated. Disappointed couldn’t use the pool, tried to book a week in advance and was told had been fully booked for over a month!

Wish we had discovered it years ago. Will visit again and would definitely recommend to anyone. Broughty Ferry had plenty to keep us busy and had a good feel about the town.

Enjoyed our stay. Had two interconnected rooms stayed with friends for birthday celebration. Nice friendly waiting staff. Good food and comfortable rooms Would return again

Just spent 2 nights at the Woodlands. From arriving at reception till checking out despite the extra pressure on all the staff due Covid-19 restrictions we could not have asked for more. Meals were excellent all staff very helpful in the restaurant, bar, leisure centre and at reception desk. Our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Would certainly recommend having a visit. Thank you all .

Lovely hotel, food excellent and very attentive staff. Hotel is about a 20 minute walk into the centre of Broughty Ferry, which has a great selection of individual shops & places to eat and drink.

Lovely stay as part of a deal. Hotel can appear a bit 'tired' in places (cracked tiles , cracked sink), rooms are well equipped and have everything you need . Meals were beautiful although breakfast could have been hotter .When I asked the young waiter at the breakfast buffet ,he replied " I have no idea" and that was that ....overall a lovely stay but didn't make use of the leisure facilities unfortunately x I would stay again x

Had a lovely two day break at hotel our first visit but definitely it our last. Friendly helpful staff, bright comfy bedroom, great choice and quality of food and the sun shone the whole time. Special mention to Jodie who was always happy,smiling and helpful. Also I had a massage at the Spa which was just fabulous and helped ease my polymyalgia symptoms so much. ? Do yourself a favour and visit.
