Woodlands Hotel, Broughty Ferry

Very enjoyable two night stay at this Hotel. First time here but will certainly return. Accommodation very clean, meals all very good and some of the most helpful, courteous and pleasant staff ever came across. Could not do enough for you. Only slight downside was the room was very hot even with no heating on and window open although there was a fan in the room. Breakfast first morning perfect but on second morning potato scones were undercooked and some of the scrambled egg was black in parts.

Very enjoyable 2 night break. Room 127 ( with 4 poster bed) was lovely and freshly decorated. Staff were pleasant as always and food delicious. Great value for money.

Hotel was absolutely gorgeous and very clean,, food is delicious ? buffet breakfast good too, nice pool and jacuzzi, Only one thing that got to me, there was no loungers by the pool ????

Fantastic 2night offer. The Hotel was so clean and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had dinner both nights as our offer dinner was excellent. Would highly recommend and will return ourselves some day. Great value break. X

another great weekend at this little gem of a hotel, staff first class nothing any bother so friendly. there was a wedding on saturday and a bus tour in so quite busy but always a nice atmosphere,its a wee walk from town centre but loads of nice places to eat and drink.

We had a great time, food and service excellent. I just like a small fridge in my room and to charge guests £10 to use leisure facilities I don't agree with.

fifth time at this great wee hotel, what makes it are the hard working staff. the hotel is a short walk from town centre there always a event on wedding or funeral everyone are always friendly nice atmosphere

Had an enjoyable stay. Hotel was comfortable, rooms were spotless and spacious. Food was excellent we ended up eating dinner there both nights. Staff were lovely so all in all a great wee break. Highly recommended.

Had a great time here, this was our 2nd visit, the 1st being around covid time when amenities were limited. The hotel is situated a wee bit out of Broughty Ferry but walkable if you're active enough. We arrived a bit earlier than expected as check in was 4pm but the room was ready so we got in on arrival. We had dinner booked for 6pm , it was a 2 course menu which had a decent range of meals on it. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable and looked onto a small garden but it was very quiet. We didn't have time to use the leisure facilities as we were out all day...maybe next time and there will be. Totally recommend Woodlands fir a wee break.

Hotel was nice, unfortunately room looked onto penn for dogs and had dog poo lying in it not a great outlook. Spa could do with an upgrade, steam room extremely small for the amount of guests using. The staff where all helpful & pleasant. Overall we had a nice stay

Lovely stay at the Woodlands Hotel. Great location for a walk down to the beach. Lovely room friendly staff and good food. Whats not to like. Plenty to eat at breakfast which was buffet style but had a side menu for other food to be cooked to order. Only downside for us was having to pay for the pool. Why not just add it to the cost. Great stay though.

Room was nice and reasonably sized. Facilities were okay too. All staff were lovely, bar staff were super friendly and helpful. Good to use with the deal but don’t think I would be returning without that as good was overpriced. Paid £12.50 per person for a buffet breakfast which only had 5 hot items and although were regularly topped up there was not a lot of food. Had to visit various times to get more than one thing on my plate. All the food that was there was bland. Not great value for money at all when there are pubs and cafes nearby which provide a much better breakfast in the town for £6-8 pp.

Great hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and spotless and a very comfortable massive double bed. Cracking gym and the pool was great.

Had a fantastic weekend at The woodlands hotel! Upgraded to a king room which was great, such a comfortable huge bed which i think was a superking. We were on the ground floor, room 201 which was very handy. Restaurant and bar area were lovely, food was delicious, the breakfast was fab! Great choices of both continental and fully cooked breakfast. Evening meal was good but huge portions! Pool area looked good but our weather was good so we were out every day walking along the beach into the town. The staff of every level were amazing! I don’t think we have stayed in such a friendly hotel where nothing was too much trouble for anyone from the chambermaids to the manager! In fact we didn’t realise Nicki was the general manager as she was mucking in doing all different jobs! She was so friendly and informative! All staff looked as though they enjoyed their work. I love getting a high level of service and that is exactly what you get at the Woodlands Hotel!
