We had a very good stay at this hotel. It has a lovely location and was very clean and Covid safe. The bedroom was a little small but had everything you need and was ideal for our stay. There was a very good selection on the dinner menu and the food was really tasty. The service was a little slow but all the team members were really pleasant. The breakfast on the Saturday morning seemed a little disorganised and the buffet items were sitting empty and filled only when you asked. However on the Sunday everything was in place and food items were topped up before they were finished. I think like most places they may be a little short staffed? This deal was fantastic value for money and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Back from a lovely break in Dundee at the Best Western Inverc Hotel . O our trips with myhotelbreak.com, have to say the staff were the best o , very polite and very helpful and happy and could not have done anymore for you . Got an upgrade to the newly built large family room, with a gigantic bed, lots of sockets with USB points, plenty of tea , coffee and hot chocolate with biscuits as well . Ate In the restaurant on first night, massive portions and the burger i had was amazing, homemade and not greasy at all . The gardens were beautiful with 2 giant redwoods and a gorgeous view out over the Tay . If you do stay here make sure you go up to the Dundee Law , you can drive to the top and it will be worth it. We will definitely be returning.

What a lovely hotel. Booked two rooms one disabled, which was fantastic for our disabled friend and his wife. Our room was a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Service and food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. Would highly recommend this hotel had a great experience.

Hotel is good value but a bit wanting in some respects. Food was generally very good, excepting the rubber scrambled eggs at breakfast. Staff seemed less committed/experienced than previously but the main complaints were a noisy room; either soundproofing is poor or we had particularly noisy neighbours and the WiFi was pretty well useless.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent with good service. As the hotel is on a bus route, we left the car and travelled into town by bus. We stayed two nights and would highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay at the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well laid out and great variety on offer. Dinner was great also. I liked the way the tea and coffee condiments were hand sanitised in a poly bag and if you needed new towels they were in poly bags outside your door too. All Covid rules were applied throughout hotel.

This was an excellent deal and we had an enjoyable break. The hotel staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Our room was fine and the bed comfortable. The food in the restaurant was top notch. There was a good variety of dishes and big portions. The only negative comment is that the Wi-fi was poor and we couldn’t get a connection a lot of the time. I also have a little suggestion - I think it would be good to offer smaller portions for people with a smaller appetite, as it is annoying to have to send back food just because the size of portion is too big.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Inverc hotel in Dundee and I would like to leave a review of the hotel. Firstly, I would like to point out that although I didn’t complain at the time, on reflection I think it is disgraceful that a hotel charges extra because I need a disabled room! It is the first time I have ever experienced this and although it was only £20 extra, I find it unacceptable that I am charged extra because I have a disability. The hotel is beautiful to look at and the grounds are lovely. When we arrived the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and it was nice to have a private entrance and parking outside the room (this was necessary as there were a number of stairs on the inside of the building between the restaurant/reception and our room.) We requested that the hotel open their ballroom doors to allow me to access the restaurant without having to drive round the hotel and as they didn’t have any events on, they were very accommodating. The hotel room was lovely and clean and the bathroom was ideal for my needs. The only negative we had about the room was that there were no sockets beside the bed - the closest ones were on the opposite side of the room so not easily accessible for charging phones overnight. After unpacking, it was very warm in the room, so we decided to plug in the 2 fans we brought with us and leave them running while we went for a drink and then a meal in the restaurant. The balcony table was in the shade and the views of the hotels gardens and across the River Tay to Fife were stunning. We enjoyed our drinks in the afternoon and then ordered our meal. Our starters and pudding were nice but unfortunately, although our main meal (battered fish and chips) looked lovely and the fish was very fresh, the chips weren’t cooked all the way through and I found a couple of scales and lots of fish bones in one of the portions of fish. We didn’t complain as the restaurant was very busy and the meal was part of the promotion so we weren’t losing much money on it. But I wouldn’t recommend the fish and chips and we decided not to book in to the restaurant on the second night. On return to the room, we were shocked to find that someone had been in our room as the fans that we had left on had been turned off at the socket. Nothing else had been touched or found to be missing, but we reported it right away as we had been told that no one would be in our room due to COVID rules unless we requested it. The staff denied having been in the room and we were told the manager would look into it when she was back on shift the following day. The manager never approached us and as nothing was taken we didn’t bring it up again, however, we would not return to the hotel due to this. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well both nights. Breakfast however, was very disappointing. We were under the impression that it would be table service due to COVID. However, we were told to help ourselves from the buffet section (where lots of people are touching everything and no distancing measures in place). For the cooked breakfast, you were asked to queue and tell the waitress what you wanted and they would dish it up and hand it to you. We were given 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage, 1/3 of a slice of black pudding, potato scone, and a small scoop of mushrooms each. We asked for fried eggs and were told that our eggs would be brought to the table. These arrived 20 minutes later - by which time we had finished our breakfast - on the second morning we only had to wait 10 minutes however, if we had waited for them our breakfast would have been cold. This was the smallest cooked breakfast we have ever had at a hotel and the only one where your eggs don’t come at the same time as the rest of your breakfast. We would not recommend breakfast from this hotel. Also breakfast on the first morning was very salty (it wasn’t the second day) but don’t know the reason for this other than the chef was maybe too heavy handed with the salt. On reflection although it was nice to get a break away, we would not recommend this hotel or use it again and I would be embarrassed to recommend to people with a disability or elderly friends/family knowing that they were going to be charged more than a normal room.
