Had a nice stay unfortunately weather not good. Room was good size nicely decorated and good shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent. Will definitely return hopefully better weather next time.

Initially allocated a reasonable room but with no view - efficiently changed to classic room (#17 - Hope Paton) over the entrance with super views over the links. Staff were all very friendly and professional. Food was excellent, well cooked & served promptly, although there was a bias to steak and other red meat. Would recommend hotel to all. Interesting things to do in & around Montrose - golfing, spectacular beaches north at St Cyrus & south at Lunnan Bay, Montrose Basin for huge nature reserve, National Trust's House of Duns nearby & Arbroath Abbey with the "Declaration of Arbroath"

Booked special deal two nights BB and one night evening meal upgraded to Executive Double Room.Room very large everything you needed avail.only downside room in annex ground floor one window facing brick wall others facing fire escape.Food and service was very good with staff excellent so much so we had meal on second night in hotel.First time at this hotel would i go back yes

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Links and we hope to return next time we are in Scotland! We felt quite at home there. We couldn't have asked for more. A big thank you to Brian and Alison and all the team.

Stayed 1 night(Sun 04/09), we had a very nice room facing the front of the hotel(room 7), nicely furnished, average size, dated bathroom, but adequate . We had DBB , dinner at night was very good, with pleasant service from Shevaughn, but breakfast was a different story, we ordered porrage x 2, and the Angus breakfast for me, and salmon and scrambled egg for my Wife, took quite a while, finished our porrage, then the fire alarm went off, all outside for a few minutes, returned to the dining room , after a bit our breakfast was delivered, mines was a disaster, only thing edible was the sausage and the bacon, the haggis and black pudding was rock hard, the egg was frazzled, potato scone blistered, I should have sent it back, my thinking is they left the food cooking while we went outside for the alarm, as I said I should have complained, spoiled a nice overnight in a decent hotel.

The staff, food and accommodation at the Links Hotel were excellent. I would be happy to reccomend this hotel to anyone visiting the Montrose area. Also the package I chose included a welcome tail and taste of Angus goody pack as well as tickets for local attractions. This made it really good value package.

Lovely 3 night stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although our room was on the ground floor and did not have a view to speak of, it was very clean and spacious. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and plenty of choice for breakfast. Will hopefully return to this hotel at some point and would definitely recommend a stay here.

Amazing stay at Links Hotel. Food was piping hot and delicious. Bedroom was spotless with a great selection on the hospitality tray and the added bonus of fresh strawberries and a goody bag. The staff were very efficient and friendly, couldn't do enough for you. Even the bar drinks were very reasonably priced. All in all a lovely, faultless stay. Will definitely be back and would recommend.

We loved our stay at the Links Hotel. The highlight for us was definitely the food. The table d'hote menu was very varied and therefore provided lots of choice every night. We enjoyed Arbroath Smokie mousse, seafood tian, chicken Balmoral, salmon in lime and prawn sauce, banoffee pie, sticky toffee pudding...I could go on! Our deal also included a glass of wine with dinner. Breakfast was also plentiful and of great quality. It included various cereals, porridge, fresh fruit, Danish pastries, croissants and a lovely cooked selection. The Taste of Angus welcome pack in the room was a lovely and much appreciated touch. Our room was clean and modern with a balcony and French doors. We weren't able to get an upgrade but asked to see the executive rooms which were newly refurbished to a very high standard. I would try to get one of those on my next visit. If this hotel has a downside it's only that the foyer and corridors are in need of a facelift but that didn't detract from our stay which I believe was great value for money.

Spent Saay nigh at this hotel with my wife and adult son. Comfortable rooms with little noise at all. Ate in the conservatory and enjoyed good quality local produce well prepared and served by friendly staff. Would go back at any time and top recommended.

We had a fabulous 2 days. Could not fault the hotel. We brought our dog and were surprised to get such a nice room. When we have been on previous breaks, despite paying a pet supplement we always felt we got the worst tattiest room in the hotel. This was not true at The Links where the room had recently been refurbished The taste of Angus pack was also a lovely touch. We would not hesitate to return.
