One of my Favourite little hidden gems, very welcoming and homely, lovely spacious room and upgraded to an executive room which was a nice surprise. Lovely choice of food on the menu and very helpful staff. Breakfast was scrumptious and lots to choose from, plenty top ups of toast and coffee. Have been to this hotel on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. We will definitely be returning soon.

Stayed in the Executive King room in main hotel and it was lovely, really big. Only room negative no shower on wall, just bath with shower attachment and some humming noise perhaps from kitchen below which might irritate some guests. Had our dog, no problem at all with that. Lovely staff throughout, very helpful and friendly! Evening meal was good and service excellent. Breakfast on the Sunday was only let down which was a shame. We went down about 9am, no cooked breakfast left, only scrambled eggs. Odd bits and pieces were added to hot plates periodically, bacon half cooked etc, must have been 25 minutes before we could put together one cooked breakfast. Wouldn't put us off returning though. Would recommend and well worth the deal we were on.

This was our 5th visit to The Links Hotel in Montrose . Rooms are well appointed, comfortable and clean. Staff are so friendly and helpful and, as always, we were made to feel so welcome. Well worth having dinner in the restaurant. We ate in the hotel both nights and the food was excellent in both quality and presentation. Wine selection was reasonably good albeit a little overpriced. We will definitely return, hopefully soon.

the break to Montrose was excellent value, the food delicious and plentiful, the staff a credit to the hotel very professional, the room excellent, spacious and luxurious with all the extra touches , wine in room on arrival

The hotel and staff were very good. The food was particularly good and very much better than that typically available in hotels at this price bracket. Dogs were not allowed in any of the public areas (or at least bar and restaurant). Wouldn't expect restaurant access but bar would have been appreciated. Difference between dogs allowed and dog friendly?

Lovely hotel and within walking distance of town centre. The rooms are very comfortable and are equipped with everything you need. We even had a balcony, it was a bit cold though to sit out in December. We had dinner on one night and the food was very good. The staff can't do enough to help especially the girls on reception who were so friendly. We highly recommend staying here and we will definitely return.

Nice weekend in the coastal town. The steak meal on the Friday night was superb along with the Arbroath smokies on the Saay morning. Only downside was the price for a bottle of wine (£27.50) which is a bit pricey although drinks at the bar were reasonable for a 4 star hotel. Overall good weekend.

Stayed here for one night with 3 course dinner and full English breakfast included for £49.00 per person. Hotel was great we had a room in the new build really good size room. Bathroom was spacious had usual toiletries shampoo, body wash etc also had a sewing, nail, dental and vanity kits which I thought was a nice touch. There was also bath robes and slippers as well. Bed was very comfy. Food was excellent fresh and cooked to order same as breakfast. Staff very polite, friendly and attentive. Car park was easy to access plenty of spaces. Will definitely stay here again worth every penny.

Really impressed with this hotel! Although I had booked a single room, it was very spacious, had been recently refurbished plus it had a huge bathroom. The breakfasts and dinner were excellent. Receptionist very friendly and helpful. I will be back!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Links Hotel. Room was spacious and clean and quite modern looking. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food overall was excellent although the breakfast was a little dry (we were the last ones down). My only real complaint was there was no house wine available with the evening meal so the choices were a little pricey. A tip if you are a smoker like me. Ask for a room overlooking the car park(rooms 8 to 12). These rooms all have balconies which can be used if you are wanting a cigarette. Saves quite a walk down to the smoking area.
