Booked dinner bed and breakfast.went for dinner was told that we were only bed and breakfast.when we told the waiter and showed the booking details he went and got a senior member of staff after 10 minutes of him faffing about we were able to order dinner.the problem is they don't understand Scottish people I expect that when on holiday not in my own country

We really enjoyed our overnight DBB stay at the Arrochar. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Food good beyond expectations. Room quiet as requested, though some still require fresh decoration. Stoves in the (only) reception/ entrance area and dining room are definitely needed and would be a very welcome additions. Views wonderful.

We reallly enjoyed our stay. All the staff were very polite and helpful. Food was very nice, and the bar was too. Stayed in Room 121 with a lovely view across the loch. This was a smahing bfeak at the great price of £59 for dinner, bed and breakast for both of us. Nice to see that the hotel is being refurbished.

Had a lovely time at the Arrochar Hotel. Views and scenery were amazing. Albeit the view from our room was a brick wall. Food in the restaurant was lovely including the breakfast. Surrounding pubs and restaurants were fantastic. Nice clean rooms but the one we were in could be doing with a bit of an update. Friendly staff are always on hand.

This was Never a 3 star hotel as stated by My Breaks. Great staff, great food, great views. However shocking rooms, walls were manky , shower filthy, toilet seat and general toilet really stained, grout round tiles, filthy. Easy breaks gave us a triple room after asking for a family room !!! We moved rooms and then ended up next door to a party room .... music blaring at 1 in th morning !!!

Request a lochside view room as it is rather pretty in autumn. Staff work incredibly hard and are very attentive. Clientele were much older than me send my partner but it didn't ruin or break away. Food was very well presented and tasty. For a 2/3 star hotel it was very pleasant.

We enjoyed our stay at Arrochar Hotel which is surrounded by beautiful countryside and fabulous views over the Loch. The hotel is a wee bit tired but the staff work hard and the food was nice. Like the idea of a wee dram instead of room service for short stays.

Very good hotel upgraded our room to bigger suite with loch views room 12 2 tv .s lounge area king size bed excellent location right in the middle of arrochar breakfast oK if you take the set breakfast it comes out a bit quicker but was a bit cold as was the coffee although whatever you ask for breakfast they will make it for you but you will Waite longer for it.Staff very friendly good selection at bar and if you don't mind making your own bed you get a free drink from the bar.Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 1 night BB there was no reception for the TV on arrival and if this was explained at the time I would not have booked into the Hotel. This continued right into the following morning. The staff member at Reception explained that they were working on transmitter in the local. Got fed up and went to local pub were they had Sky TV. The Bedroom had damp patches at the window and bathroom, room was at the back and was very noisy both at night and in the morning with lorries making deliveries early in the morning and road noise. Breakfast was passable and my wife's starter of prunes were off.

A 2 night stay with dinner the first night. A bit of a mixed bag.... Arrived at 2 p.m. hoping to check in. It's not unusual to get in earlier than 3 p.m. Politely told "Check-in is from 3 p.m." Returned at 17.30 and checked in to Room 227 to find the door ajar and tools/paint brush outside the door.... Queried this and told "Room is fine, no problems" Well, the workman had just been anti damp/mould painting on the bathroom ceiling. Photos show that not that convincing coverage.... The floor had not been properly hovered, empty biscuit wrapper, a caplet pill still on the carpet. Paint flecks on the bathroom floor. A spilt drink stain still on the wall. A furry bathroom extractor and dirty plumbing pipes. The bed looked ancient and the furnishings were tatty and tired...OK it was only £101 and would be only £89 thereafter but it should be CLEAN. It's not my job to tell staff what standards should be a minimum. I just vote with my feet.... The fact that this room backs onto the main road and the traffic noise is what it is... Dinner, 3 courses was surprisingly good and choice to amend with supplementary payments. The staff cannot be faulted. Breakfast likewise was fine and the Polish staff had patience above and beyond with the "there's always a couple" customers. Bespoke hotels operate a "Have a drink if you wish rather than a room serviced" which was an option we exercised! Hey, a couple of G&Ts; why not? For fairly basic accommodation, decent food, minimal facil BUT the chance to hike the Arrochar Alps (especially The Cobbler) the hotel offers a really good deal. Just don't expect opulence. Suffice to say at £89 I'd do it again!

The staff were very friendly and helpful . The bar menu was good but dinner menu wan 't I had a starter with pate given two oatcakes with this. I then had mushroom stroganoff which was just a grey mass of sludge not very appetising at all. This let them down badly .

On arrival staff were friendly and pleasant. We were given our room key and directions but on arrival of our floor it was freezing cold. No form of heating in corridors at all. Our room was situated at the end of a small corridor off the main one. Again when we entered the room it was freezing cold - the window had been left wide open. Took around 2 hours for the room to heat! We had a view of the rooftops and adjoining building of the hotel - pretty rubbish to be honest so needless to say the curtains were closed, well as much as they could be considering they slid from side to side! The room was basic and smelled 'old' the bathroom was spacious, but again basic. The shower cubicle was small, covered in mould and could do with a good clean and the hand basin was chipped and cracked with what looked like a repair to it. There was no window and the only ventilation was an air vent. Dampness and mould on the walls and ceiling. Above the heater on the wall in the bedroom was covered in soot/dust from it. We had booked our table for dinner as the hotel was fully booked yet on arrival there were 6 tables in use out of possibly 20. Menu was not what I expected at all, food looked quite unappetising yet surprisingly tasted delicious. Was nice enough for a midweek getaway however I would not recommend it for longer than that at all. In need of desperate modernisation. Staff that checked us in mid afternoon were on service for the duration of the evening and then again at breakfast. Background music during dinner service was played again at breakfast - there is only so much Michael Buble you can listen too!!!

This hotel is in a lovely location right next to Loch Long but unfortunately the décor was rather shabby and the hotel really needed refurbishing. Our twin room had ripped wallpaper, a misted up double glazed window and the bathroom door was badly scratched with a hole in it. There was plenty of hoer and the shower was good. Breakfast was nice, as was the 3 course dinner on each evening. Staff were extremely polite and attentive.

Great location with amazing views over the Loch. The rooms are a little dated but the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast had everything we needed and tasted good. Overall a nice stay. The team at myhotelbreak were very helpful and I will definitely book with them again :)
