Spent 2 nights at the hotel. Easy check in,girl was very helpful. Lift to first floor, which is handy. There is work going on in hotel,so a bit of noise till 4.30. The hotel is old and could do with a spruce up. Damp patches in hallway etc, which are caused from roof leaking, thats why the workmen were in. The room itself was clean and warm, with great view of loch. Bed a bit hard. We had diner in the hotel and it was very nice.Staff very helpful and quick. Lighting not great in the dining room. Overall a great hotel that is old, could do with a makeover.

This was a second visit, in recent years, to this lovely hotel for my wife & I. The staff are wonderful & very polite in every way. The food & service was excellent and our room ( 211 ) was spotless with beautiful views over Loch Long and the mountains beyond . Absolutely no complaints. Would recommend without hesitation.

My partner and I booked a 2 night stay with D,B&B...with the added option of a 3rd night for £20. But when adding this 3rd night option the £20 deal wasnt availbale so booked the 3rd night at full price. Asked for a loch view room at time of booking and got email confirmation, but due to the hotel being very busy they couldn't give us a double room facing the loch, but did arrange to give us the suite on the 3rd night to which we accepted. All good so far.... breakfast was lovely and the waitress couldn't have been nicer and with my partner not eating meat she was given the option to add beans and mushrooms to her breakfast which isn't on the menu, I had the full Scottish with the added beans and I asked if I could have both the haggis and black pudding with no problems. Dinner was excellent too. Room was smelling a bit damp on arrival but once we got the heating on the damp smell quickly went away. As for cleanliness it was well kept could be doing with a wee spot of paint here and there and a bit of grout cleaner on the bathroom and the room would have been spotless. Bar prices were reasonable too, £6.80 for a pint of lager and a vodka and e..(the same order @the village in was £7.60).

Booked in around 1600 on the 17/11/17.and reception area fairly busy for this time of year. We had booked one of the upgraded rooms for an extra 10£ a nite. room 130 had a good view over the loch.the room was clean and warm on entry. Toilet had bath with shower and again spotless. Only down point was we had no hoer the following morning and the water was still cold at 1800 as we were getting ready to go out.we had to boil kettle to get some hoer.complained and told that the boiler was in process of being repaired.and was. We were booked in for dinner on first night.which was very good with free bottle of wine. Breakfast each morning was good aswell with no complaints. Overall we had a good couple of days away in The Arrochar hotel. 2 single beds.

On arrival at the hotel we greeted by a rather manic receptionist. We were booked in and handed our keys and told the room was on the second floor. When we got to our room we discovered it was a twin room when we had booked a double. We went back to reception to complain and were handed another set of keys and told it was a double, the room was clean and tidy but extremely small. When it came to dinner i had phoned the week before to book our table (as advised by the hotel) but when we enquired about the booking we were told they had no record of it and there was no tables available at out desired time. The food was tasty and the portions huge so can't fault that. Overall we were disappointed with the service and hotel in general. This is somewhere we won't be returning to in the future.

When we arrived plenty of parking in car park and reception area looked warm and welcoming, was given keys to our room, well what can I say about room nothing nice! It was tiny had a view of the bins! Curtains where hanging off, and it was obvious that all the cleaner had dpne was make the bed! Went to use the toilet to find it hadn't been flushed! Room was dirty went and complained and was offered a different room but it had 2 single beds soon solved this by just pushing them together, this room was slightly better larger room, and cleaner, and had a view over the loch, but bed still very uncomfortable, our package included meal on the 1st night and breakfast both mornings, evening meal was passable set 3 course meal is small and basic but you can pay more to upgrade your meal, breakfast well the cooked breakfast is tiny!! One rasher of bacon one sausage, one fried egg, half tomato, potato scone and black pudding or haggis! No beans, mushrooms anything like that, you could also have cereal, porridge, toast, staff whilst all foreign where mostly friendly enough for what we paid I suppose it was ok but don't think we will be booking again in a hurry.

Nice hotel, nice room, pleasant staff. Dinner very nice. Breakfasts are a disaster! Shown to our table, after 15 mins asked for someone to take our order.Waiter came to our table and told us that his colleague would take our Orr order soon. When we got cooked breakfast it was cold. Second morning, went down earlier to avoid the rush, got a table, toast and tea., and ordered breakfast.15 mins later, cooked breakfast arrived, cold, served on cold plates.

The hotel was very clean, staff are very friendly. The breakfast and dinner were really nice. I couldnt fault the service. The only wee downfall was the coffee so strong couldnt drink it but that was the only minor thing I found. I would go again and recommend the hotel.

My disabled wife and I visited for two nights on 31/10/2017.On booking we rquested a disabled room with a walk in shower. We were allocated room 10 which had a bath, which my wife is unable to enter. The room was very small and narrow completely unsuitable for a wheelchair. On hindsight we shoould have reqested a larger room at this time.At the entrance to the hotel there are nine steps to the reception area with no ramp.My wife was exhausted after this and required to use her inhaler before booking in.Our room was clean and comfortable but rather warm even with the window fully open. The room overlooked gas tanks and recycle bins and was close to a loading bay as from 7.30 am you could hear deisel lorries loading and unloading. The food was very good, well presented and piping hot and the staff were very courteous and friendly providing very good service..An unexpected bonus on our first night was banter and songs from Vic Stevens who entertained a small audience of about a dozen instead of his usual bus parties. He had some of us up dancing and laughing in what seemed like a family party.Although not really suitable for my wife and I , we would recommend the Arrochar Hotel to able bodied family and friends for a good value for money break.

Enjoyed our 2nights - a good deal ... Hotel a bit tiered but there were workmen in doing it up so hopefully they will brighten it up ... room ok comfortable but our view looked onto the bins — fine for an offer but don’t think I would pay full price to stay here

First impressions were poor as the reception staff member was less than friendly. He certainly wasn't welcoming. The corridors to the room had damp on the walls and although the room was clean, the bathroom had many spots of mould on the walls and ceiling and cobwebs were hanging around the curtain rail throughout our two night stay. The hotel needs a massive upgrade and is, regretfully, not to a high standard.

Our room was very dirty. Mold all over the walls in the bedroom and bathroom. We had no water for two days and we told the reception everyday. So we couldn t shower during our stay in this hotel.

on arrival there was only one girl on duty working between reception and the bar. we sat in the car to wait for our room. when we entered our room dark and cold and the decor along with the rest of the hotel was needing updated . we could not get the heating in the room sorted so we went to talk to reception. The manager stepped in and we were then taken to a brighter warmer room with a loch view and we were a lot happier . we had booked for dinner and the food lovely. The staff where very pleasant and attentive . The decor was stuck in the 70's and the cleaning needed to be brought up to scratch. we thank the manager for helping us out very much.

There was a lot of fan or boiler noise in the room which could not be reduced in the room and the staff said that there had never been any mention of it although he said it would stop at 11.00 which it did not.

The hotel is what it is 2star? The whole place really needs a much needed decoration. It is dark dull and dowdy obviously needs a fair bit of tlc whicfortunately does cost money. However having said that my room "with a great view of the Loch" was clean and presentable enough. But again long overdue a paint job which need to be done to try and impress. Our evening meal was not all that bad Not great but have certainly had worse. The two breakfasts I had were actually very good I chose only to have bacon and eggs and not bad at all. I have to say the staff were all very nice friendly and helpful in the restaurant and also in the bar. The drink priced were very reasonable so that was good. All in all I think for the price we paid £89 it was a really good deal, would I come back or recommend probably unlikely unless the place was rejuvenated a bit.
