On our arrival we were very disappointed to be allocated a room in the annexe next to a builders yard which was noisey until very late at night. We expected to be allocated a better quality of room in the hotel for the money we paid Given we explained it was our anniversary at the time of booking.

AGAIN !!! The Killin came up Trumps....of course in any old building you will always say the rooms are tired looking and in this case I would slightly agree, what makes it all ok but is the Super Friendly Staff, they are all Brilliant. Also we must compliment the Chef / Chefs again for the Amazing food, we had Two Steak Dinners and the Steak was not only thick but so so tender, melt in the mouth really......So thank you all again for everything....Till the next time..

Had a great time as usual at the Killen Hotel, staff, food and service all perfect, couldn’t fault a thing not even the snow the following morning! If anything room was a bit in the small side but all we needed, So nice to see Lauren and Douglas again missed Erin as she was on day/night off. Will be booking again soon. My hotel break.com staff a pleasure to deal with.

Our room was clean but dilapidated- it was in urgent need of makeover . The conservatory, restaurant and bar were all lovely and well maintained. The staff and food were 1st class so made up for the disappointing bedroom

The bedroom allocated to me was well below the standard I would expect from a 3 star hotel. It was not particularly well-furnished. The decoration was of a poor standard and was a bit grubby. The window opening mechanism was broken. It takes 5 to 10 minutes of running water to get hoer in the shower. The room is definitely in need refurbishment. Bed linen was ill-fitting, with sheets that did not properly fit the beds. Pillows were of poor quality. On arrival the receptionist was disinterested and not particularly welcoming. On a positive note, the evening dinners were very good. Staff in the restaurant were attentive.

Excellent value for money, Nice helpful staff, great location, only issue for some may be poor tv reception and slow supply of hoer, however if staying here do not think you would be watching much tv. Lots of good nearby walks cycyle routes etc. Overall a welcoming and enjoyable stay, would highly recommend.

Excellent, the staff could not have been more helpful. The food was tasty with plenty of choice. The room that we were allocated did not have a view and when my husband asked if we could be moved they did there best to find us another room. Even moving our possessions into a room with views of the river. The staff were all pleasant and smiling. Definitely will stay again. Thank you

Room allocated no 38, very small should have been for single occupancy not double. Bathroom had an odd smell to it, extremely small you could not sit on the toilet without banging your knees off the wall and you had to walk sideways to get to the washhand basin, and when you bent over the sink your bottom hit off the radiator. On the first night dinner was a disaster, starter was okay, but we waited almost one hour for main course and had to send it back it was inedible. Table booked for 7.30 left restaurant very unhappy after 10pm. Told could not offer a discount as we were booked on a dinner, bed and breakfast offer. Sorry to say cannot recommend this hotel.

We had a brilliant 2 night stay at the Killin Hotel. We had a lovely room on the 2nd floor at the front of the hotel (it had a side window too) and both provided spectacular views of the countryside and the river. We couldn"t have asked for a better room. Only comment is that the sink in the room was very, very slow in draining (forgot to mention to reception in case other visitors experience the same). The food at breakfast and dinner was first fantastic, and plentiful portions. Staff were really nice and friendly and made us feel welcome. Would recommend this hotel and look forward to returning. The deal offered by my.hotelbreak was 1st class and excellent value for money.

Nice friendly hotel. Got put in to the Annexe part, so can't comment on the rooms in the main building, but our room was warm and cosy, if needing a little tlc. Door lock difficult to use, tv bracket broken, shower room could do with some updating and also if I leave a dirty towel on the floor I would expect it to be changed normally. Great breakfast and dinner. Just one little niggle is that the breakfast time you are told is 8 till 9.30. However, if you turn up anywhere near 9.30am you should make a note that the staff start to remove everything at 9.40am. I never got my second cup of coffee, nor any toast!! Other than that....an enjoyable stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a DBB basis. The staff gave us a very warm welcome and check-in/out was straight forward. The room was on the 3rd floor, somewhat on the small side but clean and tidy. The en-suite was very well presented but the plumbing somewhat eccentric! Took some time to get the shower temperature right, with alternating piping hot/cold water and a lack of or no water pressure. That said, the view from the room was very good. The hotel is situated in an excellent position to use as a base to explore the surrounding area/hills and is within easy walking distance to the rest of Killin and its bars, shops and various other visitor attractions. The food was very good, well presented and good portion size. We had a 3 course meal from the dinner menu both evenings and felt suitably full without being uncomfortable - the home made apple crumble was particularly delicious! Breakfast is mainly self service with cooked breakfasts made to order. This is not a hotel where you can go gry! All-in-all a good hotel to stay in for exploring the local area, friendly and cheerful staff, very good food and excellent views. Note: There is poor wifi and mobile phone reception - this is outside the control of the Hotel staff and generic to the whole of the Killin area.

Killin is a very convenient spot with beautiful countryside and lots to see / do within reasonable distance. Falls of Dochart are particularly attractive. The Killin hotel is an old mansion type building and access to the rooms is a bit of a rabbit warren. On my booking, I had advised that I had health issues ... breathing difficulties and difficulty with stairs and requested a room which avoided lots of stairs.. However I was allocated a room which was up 3 medium flights with a total of 26 stairs, along corridors and through several doors. It was also a very small room with a small en suite. Not really suitable for someone with health limitations. There was a reasonable sized car-park but it had only 2 'disabled' notices which were so close together that one car covered both and on the 2nd day, a car without a blue badge occupied it almost all day despite drawing it to the attention of reception. On the plus side, the reception staff were helpful and the restaurant staff were very pleasant. Food was excellent both in quality and quantity ... but unfortunately exactly the same menu each evening. The room and access to it definitely let the hotel down. There is plenty of accommodation in Killin and I would look elsewhere on future visits.

Fantastic stay at the killin hotel. The staff were the best thing about the stay. All very nice and professional. The manager should be proud. The food was absolutely amazing also the portions were huge! Suits me!. We had our dog rusty with us and he enjoyed himself. There are loads to do in the area! The room was also very clean it was slightly small and dated but cant complain on the price we paid. Amazing overall we will be back.

Room tiny (43) and told at booking we would be in the annex. No WiFi and loss of TV signal in bedroom was a downer as tourists must be put of by this. Food menu extensive and excellent quality. Staff were excellent especially the manageress working under pressure and holding it together..
