I booked a 2 night stay with bottle of wine on arrival, breakfast each morning and 2 course dinner on first night from the Sunday 20/03/2022 to Tuesday 22/03/2022 booked meal for 7pm. Reception/lounge/bar and dinning area lovely. Room tired only 1 bedside cabinet, furniture needing attention and straight backed chair corners very worn, shower should be condemned due to regulating temperature as well as how to work it, room overlooked back garden of houses, went down for meal nice booth ordered drinks seen the wine I had ordered sitting at place that drink were placed for dinning area, waited 15/20 minutes asked staff where drinks were they stated that unable to provide pint that was ordered due to problems with pipes could only provided Guinness/Caffrey's and bottled lager/beer, my partner ordered Guinness staff brought over Guinness and what looked like a glass of lemonade, I pointed out that the wine was still sitting a few meters in front of me, staff apologised. Our starters arrived which were very nice but then waited another 15/20 minutes for main meal, when they arrived my partners was very hot as it was vegetable fajitas and I had ordered the steak and sausage pie which was look warm I did not say anything as did not want to wait another 20 minutes for a hot meal I ate some of it but left most as and there was no sausage in it, staff came to ask if we had enjoyed the meal I proceeded to explain why most of my meal was not eaten, staff apologised and removed the cost of our drinks. On the Monday I went to take a shower took me a while to get it working as I have never seen shower like this and not easy to control temperature and not much power and at 1 point there was no water, Very disappointed will not be recommending hotel or returning. I had a call from staff member Shannon regarding these issues on Wednesday 23/03/2022, whom stated that if returning to hotel would gives us a free meal or an upgraded room if able. I myself not happy at all as I had been looking forward to this break as I work with NHS and was looking forward to relaxing. Staff looked as if they were under staffed and under pressure.

Lovely stay, staff worked very hard to look after guests. Only issue was shower in the room, needs upgrading and long Q for breakfast buffet

Excellent room and stay . All staff amazing . Food lovely . Bathroom needs a upgrade , but quality of room , bedding , furnishings, made up forvthat . Free parking is a bonus

Fantastic break chairs in rooms need a bit of a shampoo other than that lovely hotel Restaurant and places to sit and have a drink. Food was lovely, good breakfast would book again.

Staff are great, very friendly.. food was good especially breakfast plenty to chose from, but dinner could've been warmer as could the plates they were served on.. rooms nice, would stay again.

Lovely staff and hotel is beautiful. Had a room that had 2 double beds and patio doors , it was huge . Food was fantastic and it was a great deal Booking through my hotel break.com . Have already booked again .

Nice clean rooms, well equipped, comfy bed. Did not like the view from room, overlooked a housing estate. Will request a garden view room next time. Dinner and breakfast both good quality, service with a smile. Easy 15 min walk into town. Will return for another stay soon.

Booked for my parents who had a lovely 2 night break,dinner and bottle of wine on first night,breakfast included for the 2 days,They both had a lovely relaxing break,pleased with their room said it was really good size,comfortable beds,light and airy.Loved the food ate there on both nights,they also said they would return.

This is our second stay at this hotel and again such a rear stay. The staff are super friendly, the food is great and the rooms are excellent. Will not hesitate to stay again

We paid to upgrade as the room we were given was dated and wasn't suitable the upgrade room was smelly and dirty,hotel receptionist took photos of this we were them given another room (3 rooms) Informed reception when leaving only to be told sorry about that, I feel we should have been given a refund of the £40 for the upgrade after changin rooms 3 times. As this was a birthday treat very disappointed in hotel.2nd morning no buffet no explanation of why

Disappointed that the hotel is right in the middle of a housing estate. Reception, bar and restaurant are really lovely. However, the rooms really are dated - quite dark and stale. Breakfast was a disaster, we had to queue for 20 minutes if not more for hot food and the continental section was just a mess!

What a great place, room was huge and staff were fantastic, if nothing on the menu suits you.... go somewhere else . Will be back soon and would thoughtlly recommend. It's a gem , try it out , you won't be disappointed.
