A modern hotel that is well designed with all the quality amenities. Attractive setting and surroundings with plenty open space. The attractive hotel and marble finishes are excellent. It is kept pristine and our stay was so comfortable. Staff were excellent, caring and helpful. Dining experience was excellent, thank you.

We were given a double room with only one bedside table and light which we found strange. When we enquired at reception we were told most of the rooms were like that. Not safe for getting up during night without a light. Another room was quickly given to us thankfully.

Staff helpful and very nice, reception, lounge & restaurant areas clean. Food good. The only issue was the bed it was too hard for me and couldn't sleep well.

This is a beautiful hotel. Spent 3 nights there with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were very pleasant and cheerful. The room we were in was near the rear of the hotel right next to recently built houses and were a bit smallish compared to lots of others we have been in. The rooms at the front appeared to be a bit bigger. That is something we have found when you get some deals you are put to the back and into smaller rooms. You can't win them all, but an enjoyable stay.

We have waited over 2 years to enjoy a night away and chose this hotel as it came highly recommend. I must say the hotel itself was beautiful although a little dirty on closer inspection. The bar top at the restaurant side was thick with stood/dirt. The biggest issue we had was however the service. Reception was friendly and inviting upon arrival and the bar staff were pleasant enough albeit we had to wait over 15 minutes for staff at one point as they were nowhere to be seen. We had met with friends for our dinner in the hotel restaurant and stayed in the bar for drinks afterwards. The starters were lovely although 2 oatcakes was not enough to accommodate the slab of pate on our plates. We chose the burgers for mains and asked for cheese and haggis to be added, they came without either. The waiter brought us cheese and haggis to add ourselves but the haggis was cold. The burgers were pink inside and we only ate a few bites of them. We were offered something else but opted for a pudding instead. The puddings were nice. We had to wait in a queue for breakfast as although there were plenty of free tables we had to wait on them being cleared and cleaned. There was adequate choice of food however the hot food was actually cold and we waited for toast for over 5 minutes. Overall the hotel was good however it’s such a shame that the service was really poor.

Great value break. Upgraded to deluxe room and had access from the room to outside area. Friendly staff. Breakfast was just average. Busy and took a bit for food to be replenished. Dinner was lovely though and a great selection.

Had a lovely stay at Riverside lodge hotel, staff at reception desk was friendly and helpful, room was clean and modern, restaurant was beautiful, set menu had a good variety, food was very tasty and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend great value for money.

Hotel was lovely only thing I had a issue with , they would not let us have our wine with our dinner which we got free on arrival they said we could drink our wine outside if we like but had to eat our dinner inside, and we had to wait 30 minutes for our sweet , so that was a little bit disappointed ?? have stay a few times with my hotel breaks which we have found very good

Lovely hotel, ideal as a base for getting around, rooms very comfortable and spotless. The evening meals were superb ( the chef can cook ). The staff were very pleasant and helpful, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is an excellent hotel. The room we had was perfect. Two double beds and full length windows looking out onto courtyard. Everything was clean, modern and fresh. The meals we had, breakfast and evening meal were very good, the steak pie in particular, and plenty of choice at breakfast. Service very good too, and it was no problem for us to amend our booking.

Lovely hotel with modern furniture in foyer and restaurant. Good food and friendly efficient staff. Family room was superb with doors onto the garden. Other two rooms were fine too.

Riverside Lodge is a lovely hotel we had a lovely stay the food was lovely too would recommend this hotel and I would stay again
