Riverside Lodge Hotel, Irvine

Stayed one night immediately followed by 3 nights. Hotel is a genuine 4 star and very smart. A few items need a bit of maintenance (e.g. stiff shower valve). Two course dinner is a limited selection of the menu on the web page but is very good. Staff from housekeeping to reception are all excellent.

My wife and I had a very nice break at the riverside lodge, the food was nice and plenty of it. I was really impressed with the soup sweet potato and red pepper something I intend making sometime in the near future.

Well another fantastic stay at Riverside Hotel rooms we're very comfortable and warm and clean as usual.The food was amazing and plenty of good choices.All the staff are very helpfull and friendly and nothing was a problem for them .We got a very warm reception from the staff and that continued through all the staff down to the domestic ladys that clean the room..Your staff deserve lots of praise for the fantastic job they do.We will most definitely be returning as we allways do.

First of I would like to say the hotel and staff were really good. The room however at first glance was super. But after the lights were switched on the amount of dampness in the room was really bad. The food and service on the first night was excellent. But unfortunately on the second night it was terrible. Waited on drinks for over 35 minutes and food order wasn't taken for nearly 1 hour. I know there was a bus party in so even taking that into consideration the management must know that they have to have the staff to cope with that. I would return to the hotel as I say the staff and the hotel overall is of good quality and good value for money.

Stayed for 2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast and was not disappointed. Have been several times before and food is great and what a relaxing lounge for a beer before bed. Have been several times before and will certainly be back again.

Just back from the Riverside Lodge Hotel Irvine the room was immaculate tea coffee there for arrival room was spacious, We had dinner on both nights and it was very good and lovely Breakfast each morning, the staff were all very pleasant and did there best to make sure u had everything u needed will definitely be back.

Friendly staff, amazing food. Couldn't fault it. First time there and as my friend has mobility problems we will request a room nearer reception next time. We were right at the end of a very long corridor!

Hi we just stayed at the Riverside Lodge Hotel last Sunday for one night, and we have stayed here twice before and we really enjoyed our stay that’s why we came a third time, our room was very clean and comfortable good size too, we had a drink at the bar and the atmosphere was great as there was a lot of people here we were enjoying talking to some of the people which was great, and we went back our room to freshen up for dinner again it was delicious can’t fault anything it was so good, went back our room well stuffed had a drink and later went to bed but unfortunately I had a panic attack which wasn’t very nice and because we only had patio door for me to get fresh air was great but couldn’t keep the door open all night so I went to the reception and Clair who was on the desk was very understanding and she moved us to our old that we had twice before which had window so I could leave it open all night, but my panic attack did not get any better and we had to go home again Clair was very nice and understood my problem, but it won’t put us off going back there as we love this hotel and the staff, again a big thank you to Clair for helping me and the night porter Tom as I thought I had left my phone in one of these rooms and went and had a good look for me and phoned me back to tell me that he could not find it, but I had found it under my driver’s seat it mus t have fell out of my jacket pocket. Stayed overnight with my husband DBB. It was a good stay. The room itself was pleasant and could tell that it had not long been decorated. The only downfall was that I didn’t find the bed very comfortable but thats my own issue and nothing to do with the hotel. The bedding and covers were warm and comfortable enough though. The food was delicious and even though it was busy I felt that we did not wait too long for our food and the waitress apologised for the wait but it wasn’t that long of a wait to be honest. The breakfast in the morning was lovely too and had plenty of options to choose from. The only negative comment i would say is that the doors to the rooms bang too loud and you can hear other guest leaving and entering their rooms which happened a lot in the middle of the night. I understand these doors are heavy fire doors for safety but i have stayed in hotels when they close without them having to be banged. You can hear it all up and down the corridors. Overall though it was great value for money and would stay again in the future.

Food was amazing! service was good also . Rooms still dated and seem to be taking ages (years) to catch up with the main part of the hotel which is lovely. Room good although our room wasn’t seen to on out second day but reception staff extremely apologetic and lovely and gifted a box of chocolates which was lovely.

Stayed at the Riverside Lodge for the 3rd time and was not disappointed food great value and perfectly cooked, staff were very friendly. They are refurbishing the rooms at the moment but it didn't interfere with our stay.
