Stayed at the Riverside on DBB basis on Sunday and had a great stay and would highly recommend . I will certainly be back as the staff ,food and hotel and customer service received from arriving till departing was excellent.

We had a great overnight stay at this hotel. Room was comfortable with a nice bottle of wine waiting. Food was lovely and drinks in the bar later were good and reasonably priced. I would recommend this hotel.

The facilities (apart from room) were great, staff in restaurant & bar very helpful and supportive! One issue experienced which tainted our experience, was that of a party of 14 (7 rooms bookings) for a family event. Of the 7 rooms booked 6 received an upgrade bar may husband and I! We were assigned room 113. The bed sat at an angle where your head was lower than your feet! The spare bed was solid and albeit level - extremely uncomfortable. I raised my disappointment at check out on Sat around 11am as only managed to get 4hrs sleep, to be advised “I’m sorry about that - will raise it with housekeeping”: also advised upgrades are allocated on arrival based on availability which made me feel totally fobbed off. As my husband and I checked in at 3:30pm Saturday and did not receive an upgrade yet the last couple of our party who checked in at 7pm that evening, received an upgrade. When I raised my disappointment with the receptionist at check out I was advised “I’m sorry about that but I can’t comment on what happened yesterday as I wasn’t here”. So again fobbed off! No offer to look into it and come back to us being made! I would though like this investigated as I requested at check out and will await your thoughts to my feedback above. Had a fabulous time at the hotel. Meals so good we ate there again the second night. ? staff so nice. Thank you. Such a short walk into town & shops. Our mattress was not the comfiest but the temperature in the room and facilities all first class.

We chose to pay £30 upgrade to a superior room, we were then told by someone who had the same deal that didn't pay the £30 upgrade they had the same room. We found a syringe at the side of our car and a brick at the other side. Thankfully our car was fine. There was a fousty smell in the cupboard, the radiators basically came off the wall with vibration when we turned the heating on. The noise was terrible. Mattress was solid, we didn't have a great sleep. Starters were 10/10 absolutely perfect mains were a total let down burger was as dry & as rubbery as an old Welly. This was removed from our bill. Breakfast wasn't great, everything was pre cooked and old when we arrived at 7:45 We felt extremely deflated leaving. The lobby and bar was beautiful but not enough attention to detail carried throughout the Hotel & food quality. The only positive I took from the hotel was that they didn't charge for milk for my son. Extremely grateful for this.

We stayed at the Riverside Lodge on the DBB deal through Myhotelbreak. We chose to upgrade to one of the patio rooms which had two double beds. The staff at MHB were very helpful in changing my dates as I initially made a typo, which they sorted out quickly. When it came to book my dinner time at the hotel I was offered 4.45 or 8.15. Nothing at a reasonable time, which seems to be a common theme looking at other reviews - I suspect the hotel is reserving the peak times for those not on the deal? Which really is not fair. As a result we ate really late and it did taint our stay. The food and drink we had during the stay was nice, service very prompt and you could see they were very busy and the staf managed exceptionally well. The common areas and reception bar are really high standard, great selection of drinks behind the bar and lots of comfortable seating. The place had a great atmosphere. The room was large, comfortable with lots of storage, powerful shower - and although in need of a refurb, was great for the one night. The problems came at 10.30/11pm though when you could hear everyone shouting in the corridors on their way to their rooms and this lasted till around 1.30. As a couple who booked the getaway, to spend a nice evening away from their toddler (and get a full nights interrupted sleep) we were deeply disappointed. More so that there were no staff members managing the rowdy behaviour which went on for hours. It was not a weekend, it was a Wednesday night. All in all however I would recommend the hotel foe a one night stay to others, at the right price, but would request a room further down the corridor away from any passing traffic, and ensure before I booked that i could get in for dinner at normal time.

We actually booked a second night directly with the hotel. Lovely stay at this very comfortable hotel. The main lobby and restaurant are very very nice and there is lots of nice seating and comfy chairs. The fire behind glass in the main area is so nice and very welcoming. Very firm but comfortable bed. Rooms seem to be a little neglected (furniture wise) and likewise the bathroom, but can't really complain for the price. Our room faced onto a row of villas and the window had curtains, but no blinds so couldn't really leave the curtains open at times which was a pity. Food in the restaurant was buffet style at breakfast and we had two course dinners on both nice which was very nice. Staf helpful and pleasant

Our first visit to this fantastic hotel from the first foot into the hotel we had a fantastic visit, our rooms were first class very clean and very comfortable. We had a meal in the restaurant and was very impressed and would highly recommend visiting this hotel and restaurant again

Amazing hotel, stayed here lots and will be back! Means a lot to us as this was our wedding venue in 2023! Staff amazing and food fabulous! Some rooms slightly dated but still very good and clean!

Usual high standards at this hotel. Have stayed here many times, however this time there were some drunk residents who caused a lot of noise during quiet hours, shouting, arguing, kicking and banging doors.

We had another great stay at this hotel, it's the 3rd time we've been here and we have found it to be a very good hotel each time. The staff are very efficient and the food is of good quality and choice , the rooms are clean and well spacious. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.

Booked a 2 night break dinner 1st night which was nice decided to book restaurant for 2nd night stay before arriving as restaurant menu looked very good and prices reasonable unfortunately we weren't given a choice of menu 2nd night another festive menu seemingly they were short staffed. We felt we should have been told about this before arriving for dinner at 7 & not our fault short staffed. Breakfast was a bit of a nightmare queues for breakfast & hot drinks. Overall hotel was lovely apart from these issues & dog poo on foyer & corridors.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Riverside. Quick friendly check in. Bar and restaurant area lovely. Photo s don't do it justice! We had a delicious three course meal, friendly ad polite service. Great choice of menu. Bar and restaurant both busy which gave it a nice atmosphere. Breakfast is a cold and hot buffet. It was very well presented and delicious, especially the haggis ! Outdoor seating area looks good and we would like to return in the warmer months to sit outside. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely stay.
