We received a warm welcome when arriving at the hotel and quickly checked in and directed to our room. The room was nice and had the golf view we booked. Unfortunately when checking the bathroom we noticed that the toilet was not clean ! Surely the rooms are checked by housekeeping after cleaning. We headed downstairs to go out and we reported the toilet, it was immediately called through but no apology. We reported the towel not working and someone came and changed the fuse, still not working! We had to dry clothes soaked from the rain on the corridor radiator At dinner we were directed to a table of our choice and after a short time our order taken, soup and prawns. Both arrived quickly, however the soup was cold so one of us had to eat alone and watch the other eat and then the same when the soup came back. Another couple were seated next to us snd 15 mins later their orders arrived, Stone cold soup! What kind of kitchen sends out soup cold twice! Do they not check it ? We ordered the fish and it was delicious so gold star for that. Breakfast was a big let down. The cooked breakfast (without the haggis) was 1 sausage. 2 slices of bacon, spoonful of beans and a few mushrooms. We had dinner the second night and the meal was lovely, no issues until one of us turned over our napkin and it was filthy! The staff were lovely and we had no issues other than already mentioned. We used the spa but were not told the jacuzzi was blocked off. We used a voucher for the visit but it did not state the drinks were not included. Doubt we would visit again which is a shame as its an iconic hotel.

Hotel was nice and room adequate lovely & scenic. Hotel holds an extra additional £25 per night on top of total balance, which I never experienced before. Restraunt was nice and friendly hosts. Ordered breakfast in bed which did not arrive on time as order wasn’t put through, so this was disappointing. Had to reorder and wait again which made check out rushed.

Excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Beds could be bigger in the upgraded rooms. Lovely views over the golf course. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were again friendly and helpful. The spa facilities need updating but this is the only downside. The location is quiet and peaceful if that is what you are looking for. Views of the coast are stunning. Would stay again.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times and have never been disappointed. The golf view room was amazing, very clean bed comfortable and shower was a delight. Selection menu in the Bistro for breakfast and dinner was a fantastic choice. Unfortunately we did not have time to use the leisure facilities on our visit. We found the staff very courteous and friendly. We would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family

Friendly and helpful staff..Comfortable bedroom with lovely views of coastline and interesting putting green. We are an elderly couple and staff responded positively to our request for a suitable room.

Disappointed that both the toilet and hand control were dirty. The bed creaked. My wife suffered food poisoning from undercooked chicken at dinner. Charged at checkout for drinks not ordered. Not isolated as has happened before and also happened to another couple checking out after us

All the staff are friendly and professional. Nothing is too much trouble. Some issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Breakfast was not that great. Poor quality bacon and sausage. Dinner was average. Fish was undercooked and had to be returned. First room allocated had no cold water so we were moved. Rooms were large with pleasant views. Lovely bathrooms. The fantastic staff made our stay pleasant and our dog absolutely loved it.

Been to this hotel several times and it never disappoints. Rooms are lovely and clean. Food is delicious. Staff helpful. Close to railway if need to visit elsewhere.

Had an excellent 2 night stay at Carnoustie. Food and service excellent. The hotel is a perfect setting for golf and beach. Will definitely return.

Not the best stay at this hotel Room not ready Dinner ok but over priced. Bar staff were excellent. Breakfast bit of disaster brought out 3 times before it was right. To crown the stay off we were overcharged at checkout and it has still not been sorted. I have stayed here before but don't think I will be back.

This is the third time at Carnoustie and no problems. The staff are very good and restaurant staff are very attentive always there to see if you are needing anything. The room was clean I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast. Meals freshly made and very tasty with good choice. Breakfast excellent. Rooms spacious and great outlook over the golf course. Our dog made very welcome and loved his sausages in the morning.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Staf very helpful and pleasant. Room was great, very comfortable and spacious. Leisure facilities most enjoyable. The food was very good and nice that the specials were changed each evening. I would definitely stay there again.
