A fabulous hotel. Excellent service, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and the overall stay was incredibly good value for money. I would definitely recommend it.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Derwent Manor Hotel. All the staff were so very friendly we were made to feel welcome straight away. Dinner & breakfast were well cooked & very tasty. The room was good & the beds very comfortable.

myself and the wife had a two Ishtar stay hotel ,I can not praise the staff more,from checking in at reception to evening meal at night . The pool was a plus to unwind .keep it up we will be back.

Hotel was beautiful as always food amazing had a really great time however we were given the same sized room for 3 adults and a child as we normal get for 2 adults.

Pros: Delightful surroundings and buildings. Friendly and professional reception staff. Expensively refurbished rooms. Good food. Generally nice atmosphere. Very good value on MYB deal. Cons: Disappointingly small pool. Repetitive menu. Restaurant needs a manager/supervisor to train, manage and motivate the, mostly, miserable, some to the verge of rude staff. If you don't want to use the leisure facil a very nice weekend break hotel.

Food and service was amazing . The room was very spacious but mabye a bit old fashioned although bed was really comfortable and views amazing . Swimming pool was a little small and would have liked a steam room but a very enjoyable stay and the food was exeptional

On arrival we were informed that renovation work was taking place. However this did not have any impact on us. The workmen were working in the bedroom 2 doors along but at no time did we hear them. Our room had obviously been newly refurbished and it was really lovely. All staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. There was a wedding taking place on one of our nights but there was no noise from the function room. The food was very good and value for the money paid. Only comment would be to think about making some changes each evening to the set menu and not having the same menu nightly.

Lovely hotel, great space around it for our dog but reception staff (young woman) had hostile attitude and accused us off not booking the dog in, we filled in form inc the dog and I telephoned them ! Most of the staff were friendly, especially the waitresses in the restaurant but reception staff need instructions on 'how to treat guests ' To finish it off they overcharged us by £60 on final bill, no apology!

Excellent value for money break. We were offered an upgrade on arrival. The accommodation was clean and tidy. Food was great. Could not fault the staff in any way. Will return if the offer comes again.

A second stay at this lovely hotel, a lovely upstairs room this time. Was extremely busy but the excellent staff coped very well. Food is first class with a good choice from set menu or option to use a la carte. Buffet style breakfast very fresh with some items made to order. Can thoroughly recommend this hotel you won't be disappointed!

This hotel is fantastic. The staff were brilliant, the food excellent and extremely good value for money, the rooms lovely, very well appointed and all this in stunning scenery. I will visit this hotel again and can't recommend it highly enough. Very well worth a visit.
