I regret booking this hotel. It is tired and in need of major investment to improve the facility. There was extensive mould in the bathroom and bedroom I did ask to be moved but was told there was no available room. The food and service were adequate but the decor lets this hotel down badly

I booked this hotel for relatives from Canada and while it was clean there were loads of issues with the decor and standard of the hotel. Not one I will be booking again any time soon

I enjoyed my stay at this Hotel but the room I stayed in was in need of a good decorator as the decor was in the shower/W.C room was peeling. It was cleaned to a high standard and quite comfortable.

The roo. Was very small one of the beside lamps did not work and the shower was either to hit or cold. I asked if we could be moved to another room as it was my partners bdy the next day the receptionist said she would get back to me and never bothered. Breakfast was very limited no yoghurt or fresh fruit

We had a lovely time the staff were helpful and friendly and the meals very good. The main areas in the hotel were decorated to a good standard but the bedrooms needed some general repair and decoration. In saying that the beds were comfortable and very clean and the room spacious. We were unsure of what to expect as we purchased a deal but were pleasantly surprised and would stay again.

The welcome was warm and friendly and the hotel was clean and tidy. The bedroom was very small and on the 5th floor. Unfortunately the lift was in the process of being updated and the walls were stripped of their covering. The room and en-suite were very clean and adequate. The bed was very comfortable. The waiting staff were extremely efficient, unobtrusive and yet always smiling. The dining room ran very smoothly. We enjoyed a lovely dinner although there was very little crumble on my plate of apples and my friend's salad was rather coarse. Breakfast was excellent, portions were just right. The complimentary bottle of bubbly was a Perry and not Prosecco, which suited my friend and me very well. I don't know but I doubt there were 516 rooms in use and as your voucher states we would have the best available room I am not sure this was the case but I appreciate we were there at a very reduced rate and as stated our room 517, was fine but it faced the back not the front sea view. Overall a lovely break.

This hotel coukd be stunning if some money spent on upgrading My husband and I can say this is the worst hotel room we have ever stayed in. The bathroom was so dirty Full of dust and mouldy curtains which were falling down The bedroom curtains were similar Window full of condensation and so dirty THE bedroom was so small it felt staying in a cupboard Dreary lighting so depressing We have come home feeling lethargic As there was so much dust in the air So disappointed in our first time with Classic Britain

Great wee hotel in an excellent location. Have stayed here a couple of times and will return. Staff are great. Couple of things that could be better, cleaner window sills and better ambient lighting in the bar and dining room. Food is hit or miss, first night fab, second night poor (and my husband found a big hair in his meal!). Fish was full of bones and the sponge desert was drier than the Sahara despite the custard! That said, I still like the place and would recommend as long as you don't expect the ritz!

Was a bit annoyed when we were told that the hotel had no record of our booking. Lucky I had the Classic Britain receipt email on my iPhone. But staff on duty on the desk when we booked in were most helpful.

Beautiful Art Deco hotel. Fabulous views from the spacious dining room and many bedrooms. Food and service excellent. Only drawback, no parking!

No lock on bathroom door at all, dirty glass in bathroom, cobwebs on walls, no parking facilities. Pretty sure not offered best available room. Despite this, considering price paid, happy with stay generally, good value for money, excellent position on seafront.

Hotel is a bit old and in need of some updating in parts, and the room was a bit cold due to wall heaters only and no central heating, but bedding and bathroom were very clean. The food was very good with plenty of choice and the staff were friendly and helpful. All in all we found this excellent value for money and would definitely go back.
