Rob Roy Hotel, Aberfoyle

I have stayed in this hotel a good few times now. Fantastic value for money,food great,rooms clean, staf lovely. I will definitely be returning.

The hotel is very dated, the lounge area was not very comfortable and again very dated,however the food was very good, excellent breakfast, the staff were friendly and attentive, the location is brilliant,overall value for money was excellent , the room was comfortable but again felt dated, a couple of issues with the bathroom, no sockets near to the bed but a comfortable nights sleep was had.

Nice Hotel,rooms basic but clean could do with a coat of paint. Staf very friendly and helpful, always brought a dish of water for our dog. Dinner good choice no complaint. Breakfast Buffet good, plenty of selection and topped up regularly. All in all good value for money and as per " 4 in a Bed" will stay again

This was the second time at the Rob Roy using a Break for two voucher. We cannot fault it , room was lovely we a bottle of red wine in our room but staff happily changed it to white and we had it with an excellent dinner. Serving staff were very attentive and breakfast was amazing. Its become our favourite hotel for a short stay, love it.

Walls very thin. Kept awake by a snorer in the next room so loud could be heard over the tv. Shower reported after first night as cold then hot said someone would look at it but was still the same the next day. Not the best.

enjoyes our 2 night stay at rob roy hotel .being a bank holiday weekend i was hoping thay would put some entertainment on but it was not to be .even a bit of background music in the bar would have been nice .food was upto there usual good standard

Had a lovely stay at the Rob Roy have been several times the room was comfortable although the squeaky floor boards from the room above woke us up very early due to the coach party's leaving to go home but didn't spoil our break the food at night was very good but the cooked breakfast was not so good as was lying out too long and the eggs and potato scones were hard but would still return again due to the overall location and staff

This is our 4th time staying at this hotel, it’s lovely surroundings, pleasant staff, great food and good service. Rooms could do with a freshen up, lighter deco but still very nice.

The hotel, rooms, staff and tribute act Meat Loaf, was excellent, the only thing I would like to see changed is, I rang the hotel on 3 occasions to inform them I was coeliac and my brother was vegan, just to verify they could cater for us, which they did, but on the night, nothing to say which foods were GF or Vegan, we had to ask, and the waitress went to the kitchen twice to ask the chef about our allergies, the chef marked on the menu, what we could have, Breakfast, I had oranges with natural yogurt, as no flavoured yoghurt, no toast/ rolls/ scones GF for Breakfast, I don’t eat a cooked breakfast, everyone was was brilliant, just hope this issue is rectified before our next stay, and all staff are given the necessary training on customers who have food allergies, thanks again, keep up the great work.

A warm welcome from all staff, got a ground floor, easy accessible room with shower as requested. Food was good value for price we paid. Room was clean and very comfy bed.

We all had a really good stay the Rob Roy Hotel. A pleasant place to stay. Pathway walk right into Aberfoyle from hotel is a bonus. Staff and service was excellent. Food was extremely good. Great menu choice and swiftly served. Breakfast was plentiful. Only thing I would say regarding the room, which was very comfy, is that bath towels were a tad small, but that's only our preference. All in all highly recommended.

Very pleasant stay, Staff were very friendly and super efficient. Food was excellent and plentiful. Rooms are large enough but unfortunately they lack a bit of Homliness, needing some pictures in the rooms to take away the bare spaces on the walls. Other than that I would recommend Rob Roy to anyone. Well Done to all staff at Rob Roy
