Hotel room was lovely and beds very comfortable. Reception staff and restaurant staff were also very helpful and polite. Staff didn’t point out that only certain items on dinner menu formed part of the dinner deal until I received the bill. They only highlighted drinks and desserts were not part of deal. Chips were overdone and being served a warm glass of wine on a hot day was not welcomed.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Rooms well equipped with breathtaking view of the river. Staff pleasant and friendly (and rushed off their feet). Set menu had a good choice, with food nicely presented and tasty.

A fridge in the suite would have been nice and made it a 10. Service was slow down to staff shortages. Person on reception serving in bar. No one in bar at times. One oerson dealing with queue and large orders. Very frustrating. Food was terrific except no sausages one morning. That would have made it a 10

We enjoyed our one night break at New lanark .rooms were clean and spacious .meals were delicious and well presented. Our room was ready for us as we arrived early ,receptionist was very friendly.as all staff were .we hope to stay again in the future .

Not the best stay we've had with myhotelbreak.com. The link to advance check in didn't work so we couldn't pre book restaurant. At check in only late meal time available. Bottle of wine included in the deal. Red wine left in room. tried phoning reception to change to white wine. Someone eventually answered on the 3rd attempt. Receptionist brought up bottle of room temperature white wine. I had to go to bar for ice bucket, but it didn't cool it enough. Didn't finish it. Waste bin had not been emptied from previous occupant. Meal was from a fixed menu, and as we were at the last time available, one dish was no longer available with no alternative offered. we both had chicken dish and both found it overcooked and under seasoned. No final bill/receipt was given at check out. Checked credit card statement 3 days later and they had charged the full amount for stay and not the balance after voucher taken off. Tried 3 times over 3 weeks to get matter resolved. Each time was told manager would call me back.. still waiting.. Have now instigated a dispute with my credit card company. Very disappointed after hearing good reviews. Definitely not service worthy of a 4* Hotel.

An amazing night away .. clean friendly ..staff couldn't do more to help.. room had been upgraded..views fantastic ..pool clean and easy to use .. food was amazing perfectly cooked and scrumptious.. bed comfy ..toiletries amazing smell ..fantastic deal .. Will.be back again

Lovely hotel & surroundings only negative was service in restaurant, very slow waited 25 minutes for our wine to arrive & 30 minutes for our desserts. Staff in spa were rude never spoke a word or gave any information regarding about facilities.

Lovely looking hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel very clean. Nice big room but dated. Shower in the bathroom was powerful enough but in the wrong position to have a decent shower. Windows are screwed shut so can’t open them for some fresh air and full of condensation in the morning. We were on a meal deal and disappointed we couldn’t s starter for a sweet course. Total lack of information and signage to facilities in the hotel I.e. swimming pool/spa that I was unable to book into.

We have stayed at this hotel several time over the years this was our second stay this year and we were not disappointed the rooms are clean and well cared for the dinner was very good breakfast menu was very good and a good selection of breads and buns only small moan the pool was a bit cold and the jacuzzi was not heated at all we hope to return later in the year

Glad to see some familiar faces again amongst the staff. Had a long chat with the manager who had recently returned and reassured us that the high standards, and excellent deals, set previously would be reinstated.

Lovely decor, really nice room and beautiful surroundings.Car parking not a problem. Hotel was let down by lack of staff.One girl on bar Sunday night which meant she seemed to be doing drinks for restaurant upstairs and room service! Had to return a coffee cup at breakfast as it was marked and felt we were being a nuisance. Also then there was a sticky substance-brown sauce maybe?-in the little milk jug brought to table but did not complain-found another jug as didn’t want to make a fuss. Dinner was spoilt a little by a couple next to us complaining they could not get a main course and dessert instead of starter and main. We knew this in advance from reading previous reviews so were prepared. It should be clearly stated on the booking that this is the case to avoid embarrassing arguments in the restaurant or change it to either/or.

Great hotel, situated on a world heritage site, hotel staff pleasant, and helpful. Restaurant and food was good , bedrooms spacious and all rooms look over the river Clyde, we will return, as we have been coming here for many years and find it very relaxing,

Room was lovely and clean. Beautiful view of the river. Unfortunately dinner and breakfast was poor. Not enough staff to serve guests. Had stayed about 18 months ago and food was excellent. So a little disappointed.

Lovely stay as usual, sadly only 1 night on this occasion. Rebecca at reception deserves a mention, such a pleasant young lady. Room was in a part of the hotel in which we’d never stayed before, nice new carpet and room/bathroom spotless as usual. The menu on the hotel website is not the menu being offered currently so I wouldn’t set your heart in the fillet steak (as I had done). Enjoyed our dinner mainly, steak pie wasn’t the best, but everything else was delicious. Lovely breakfast and great service all weekend, hope to stay again soon ?

Hotel was as usual very tidy and we asked for a walk in shower which was in our room ( a wet floor shower for wheelchair users, a bit dated but worked perfect with good water pressure.) Room perfect although we had problems with wi-fi it was fine. I love how much space you have and every other room is the same. Staff is the problem, they don’t have enough in the restaurant at meal times, breakfast was a shambles walking back and forth to collect everything and trying to avoid other guests. The young staff at dinner were lovely, polite, tidy. We weren’t told that a 2 course dinner meant a starter and main so we had a main and dessert. The next evening one member of staff said that was wrong and we were charged for our dessert. It has been brought to the Hotels notice and I’m sure it will be on newer menus. We were ok money wise but it’s a big charge £16 per night for 2 desserts if you are on a tight budget. We will definitely be back I love the Hotel and all the staff done there best.

After 3 attempts we finally managed to get to this hotel. Was so worth the wait. Lovely receptionist to book us in. Met cleaners just coming out our room, they were so nice to us. Waiting staff in evening and morning all did an excellent job too. Very friendly. We came home and booked again for later this year. Marvellous setting. Lovely walks.

Lovely stay at The New Lanark Mill Hotel, room was lovely, food was superb and great leisure facilities, Enjoyed our visit to the Heritage Sight and roof top garden, will certainly return, staff and service was excellent, well done all..

Had a really nice stay, room large and spotlessly clean. Staff really pleasant and helpful and food good. Would recommend
