This was our fourth stay at New Lanark Hotel and a fabulous deal on MyHotelbreak. The place is spotless, the pool/spa area very nice and the Spa Manager Vikki was very friendly and helpful. All the staff we met were very pleasant and professional, clearly an ethos filtered down from the management style. Always enjoy my time here.

Spent another 2 nights at our favourite hotel, on 28th & 29th June. We upgraded to a deluxe room. We feel it is worth the extra to get a nice big room. The room had been revamped & had a lovely new carpet. We were on the 6th floor so unfortunately our view of the river was restricted due to the hight of the window sills but otherwise we were very happy with our room. On our 1st night, dinner service was very slow. The restaurant was busy & everyone appeared to be waiting quite a while. I think there may have been a staffing problem in the kitchen, but not said. We waited over an hour for our main course which we really didn’t mind but when it came it was very disappointing. My steak was way over cooked & the thick cut chips tasted horrible. Not sure if it was the potatoes or the oil they were cooked in. Our 2nd night dinner was served much quicker & was all lovely. We both ordered eggs Benedict the next morning but there was no sauce so we had the cooked breakfast which was nice & freshly cooked. The next morning we ordered eggs benedict again but there was still no sauce! Lots of people ordered eggs benedict that morning. Why was there no sauce! 1st morning I could forgive but the 2nd morning was unforgivable. It’s not hard to make hollandaise sauce, you can even buy it in jars. If you don’t intend to have hllandaise sauce remove it from the menu. We did enjoy our stay here as usual but there were just a few niggles. I believe they are having staffing problems. We might leave it a bit longer till we return. I do hope that eventually it can return to the 1st class hotel is used to be.

Beautiful setting and loved the old mill heritage centre which the hotel is part of. Hotel itself is smart with lovely large rooms and beautiful views of the river. The spa is lovely as is the restaurant but unfortunately our meals were served a bit cold and no offer of sweets or coffee, just handed our bill. This however did not affect our delightful stay. Breakfast was excellent and all staff were delightful. Well worth a visit and great value for the money.

Came to help celebrate my sisters 40th wedding anniversary. Had a wonderful stay. Rooms are large, very clean and so comfortable. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Staff are all so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Enjoyed it so much I've booked to come back for my 60th birthday in October.

Superior venue. Absolutely fabulous ambience with lovely relaxing background music. Friendly, helpful staff throughout hotel with all services (reception, room services/cleaning, catering and waitering as well as leisure services) and beautiful food with various options available. Spotlessly clean bedrooms with very comfortable surroundings and nice decor and toiletries provided. Breathtaking external environment and landscape with lovely walks. Tremendous atmosphere whilst holding the traditional aspects of the location. Great leisure pool and suite. I leave New Lanark refreshed and revitalised MY LITTLE PIECE OF SCOTTISH HEAVEN!!

Had an amazing over night stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious!! Best scrambled eggs I've ever tasted ?. Room was spotless and the views are stunning. Will definitely be back soon.

Staf very helpful. Staying on a 2 night dinner b&b, would like the choice of main and dessert and not have to take the starter and main, apart from that the food was good except for breakfast, not very impressed with food that has been cooked and lying under a heat lamp or in oven.

We had a lovely overnight stay. Very nice hotel in a wonderful location. The room was lovely with 2 beautiful windows with views of the river. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. We also enjoyed the pool and gym.

Another successful stay at one of our favourite places. Room large with two very comfy double beds and a view over the river. Leisure club needing a bit of tlc but always nice to get a swim. Dinner delicious as always. Lovely to see John the General Manager back.

Lovely hotel, surrounding area great and lots to see and do! Comfy bed with fantastic view, nice traditional evening meal options of good quality! Could benefit from an outside bar area in good weather but that would be my only suggestion for improvement. All the staff members we dealt with were lovely and very helpful. Good breakfast!

Enjoyable trip, hotel staff excellent. Would recommend and stay again. Only disappointment was the very little choice for vegetarian meal. Vegan burger was not pleasant at all.

The reception staff were young and inexperienced which made them come across as quite rude. Unknown to us dinner was included on both nights of our stay but the staff did not advise us of that or ask when we wanted dinner on our second night, they only asked about reservations for the first night therefore we then thought dinner was for the first night only. The food was lovely and well presented but the condiments set were dirty and the glasses at the breakfast bar were dirty and greasy. The restaurant and the bar were lovely. The views are stunning as were the grounds.

Had the best time at the New Lanark Mill Hotel staff in the hotel were so friendly and helpful the room was very comfortable food in the restaurant was really good the leisure facilities were superb there's so much to do and you must take a walk to the falls of Clyde stunning .

Had a great experience staying at this hotel, reception staff were lovely, room was lovely and cracking view, restaurant food was delicious! Not so keen on the breakfast though as got a cooked breakfast and everything was all on top of each other, unfortunately only ate a bit of the egg, but thats just me, dont like all food on top of each other, like it spread out lol, Pool was fab! Can i just say that Vicky and Jamie were very nice and couldnt do enough for you, they give you cups of fresh water with lemon, great touch! Very approachable!

A return to this hotel and also a return of the old manager John, the hotel is lovely in the most beautiful setting our room was excellent and we had dbb, food top notch and a bottle of red wine was in our room, we asked to change it for white , nothing was a problem fir the girl on reception, in the hotel or at the bar. Restaurant: Fab, fab, fab food at New Lanark Mill Hotel in the Mill One Restaurant! Ambience. 10 Food. 10 Service. 10 Value. 10 Stayed at the hotel last night for one night, arrived at the restaurant to be greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. I spotted a table overlooking the balcony with a view of the beautiful staircase as last time we were here that's where we sat! I asked for the table and the waitress Eiligh very kindly sorted it up for us absolutely fantastic start to the meal..we received water for table food and drink ordered, and hubby had ordered St Mungo however received Staropramen, waitress apologised and said the error beer was complimentary! So food arrived, I chose the haggis bon bons probably best I ever had batter so light and sauce absolutely delicious presentation was superb, hubby opted for chicken goujons these were no ordinary chicken goujons the chicken was so tender and the batter was amazing and so light, the sauce was really something too! We were so impressed and then looking forward to our mains! Well not remotely disappointed my main was salmon served with beautiful new potatoes, carrots which were cut and shaped to perfection and the sauce was absolutely outstanding as was presentation I honestly felt I was a judge on MasterChef and this was the winners food I was eating! Hubby had steak pie and it was seriously good, great portion and gravy mash and veggies were just outstanding. I was so impressed I asked is it possible to meet the man who cooked this wonderful food, the chef Odin came out to meet us and he was so humble not having any idea just now good his food is! Wonderful experience the staff were amazing and I would like to thank Odin, Eiligh, Chelsea and Scott for their outstanding service, I cannot fault the food nor the service and we will most definitely return SPA We were greeted at reception by Jamie and Vicki the new Spa Manager to say they were friendly and welcoming is an understatement! Water was on request which we fid request twice it was infused with fresh lemon which was a nice touch .. The changing facilities were old fashioned, but very clean, there were no bags for your wet costume but we were informed this was being looked at and we did get a bag st reception which was great there was no shampoo or very little in any of the showers again this is being looked at...however the sauna and steam room brilliant, the pool could do with a couple of degrees warmer but otherwise a great experience all round and staff really made it even better with their attentiveness ... ROOM Our room was overlooking the river it was huge with table and two lovely chairs, hairdryer, iron, iron board plenty electric points, good wardrobe space, massive bed, bathroom was huge shower was brilliant, no conditioner, no non slip mat in bath, tissues, plenty bins, and beautiful shampoo and hand wash, very impressed with the whole experience LOCATION This hotel is in the most gorgeous location, due to it being a listed building etc there is no outside terraces, however this does not spoil the experience, you are on the actual grounds of the New Lanark experience and needs to be done you do get discount if you want to visit the Centre,, you can also walk up to the Falls of Clyde ... BREAKFAST Have to say this was pretty average, I had full breakfast, one rasher bacon, Lorne and link sausage, haggis, black pudding, tattie scone, beans, egg, and tomato, mushrooms felt it was just too much, didn't need the two types of sausage, far too much beans, better if it were button mushrooms, the orange juice was amazing, the decaff coffee not so much as was sachets! There wasn't enough fruit on offer like fresh melon selection, no side plate for bread or toast, I've seen a better spread for breakfast, however the staff wow they were fantastic welcoming and no rush wotsoever to close down the breakfast even offering more buffet and coffee at 10.35 am! Lovely hotel in a lovely area. Rooms had a beautiful view and were a good size and so was the bathroom. Staff were 10/10 respect the manager. Food was lovely apart from the breakfast being quite dry. Downside for me was the leisure facilities. You can’t check in until 3pm and the steam room and sauna were turned off at 4pm to allow for cleaning. I prefer to stay at hotels with leisure facilities as it is a highlight of my stay and sadly this one was a big thumbs down. I only stayed for 20 minutes as I was so cold. Hopefully managed can sort this out.

This was a birthday present I bought fur my daughter and her partner... I've stayed here twice previously..so booked it for them .. They loved it so much ...food ...room pool gym amazing there wanting to go back in September..thank you definitely recommend 5* xx

Check in took a long time. Only 1 person on reception. Another member of staff came over but she was dealing with another issue with a room. Got check in and was getting ready when room service knocked to bring towels. This should have been done before check in. We then had a child knock and run away. We went to the bar which was busy. There was no staff. When we finally got served they didn't have change to give us. Had to wait for it. Also asked for a tail and was told i could only get one at night time. The pool was freezing. Other guests also complained about spa facilities at dinner. At dinner I asked for a tail and was told they don't do them. When it came to order dessert the man brought over a special menu incase we wanted that for dessert. We weren't shown this for the other courses ( I know there would have been a supplement). We paid the bill in cash and didn't get change brought back. At breakfast we sat down to be told there was no salmon or hollandaise sauce. No one from the hotel has rectified any of these issues. Can you look into this for us and let me know what's happening.
