The only disappointment about the stay was the swimming pool. We were advised that there was swimming lessons on and only half the pool was available. The worst part was the changing rooms - very few available and could hardly get into the female changing area for young children. Not enough room. The steam room and sauna were very nice. The rest of the stay was great, food and young waitress were exceptional.

This hotel is really superb and is situated in a truly beautiful spot. The food is good and the service couldn't be bettered. We would thoroughly recommend it.

Had a great Easter weekend at this hotel. Management and staff were very polite and courteous and service throughout was first class. All of our meals were excellent.

Having stayed in quite a few hotels I can honestly say that I rate this one as one of the better ones. The staff are very pleasant and sociable, the room and en-suite both spotless and comfortable as were the reception, bar and dining areas. The dinner menu has a good and varied selection and the portions are just the right size. Having not used the leisure facil I cannot comment on them but I expect they will be of the same quality as the rest of the hotel. I assume that this hotel only has 3 stars as it was graded before what appears to have been a recent refurbishment which has been well done. I would have thought on entering that it was a 4 star establishment if I had not seen the rating hanging on the wall. The experience we had was such that when we checked out we booked a room for a return visit in May.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and never been disappointed. It's the ideal place to relax, fantastic surroundings, great food, great wine, what more can you ask. Will no doubt be visiting again in the near future.

Hotel and surroundings really nice,only disappointment was when all the sitting areas were reserved for wedding guests including the bats so nowhere for the hotel guests to sit and relax after walking all day,.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel , it could not be faulted in anyway . If I could rate thr service above 10. It would get it , the choice of food on the menu and presentation were exceptional . It was our first visit but certainly will not be our last.

This for us is the best value all round hotel in the whole of the United Kingdom, and trust me, my wife and I have stayed in many over the past 30 years or so.
