We booked for two nights with two dogs. I had read a few bad reviews after I had booked so was a bit apprehensive. The hotel room was tired and in need of fresh decor as with some parts of the hotel, however the staff were all fabulous. They were very helpful and super dog friendly. As for the view, it was absolutely stunning from the hotel. The breakfast was good too. They had small amounts of everything you would need which was replenished often. So all in I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The staff and the view were more than enough to make it a lovely stay.

Rooms are in need of upgrade. Plumbing needs attentions as rooms smell of dampness. Tap in bathroom would not turn off, mould around bath and when using the shower it went from freezing to scalding as it’s an old design. Breakfast food not great, powdered eggs which smell of fish, cheap sausages. Dinner not much better. Menu stated hand cut chips which on arrival were frozen skinny fries. Fish on the second night was the smallest piece of frozen fish covered in batter extremely greasy. The hotel has amazing views and set in beautiful surroundings. With a little attention to easily fixable faults could be a great place to stay. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was very nice, although could do with an uplift! The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was quite small and the shower very compact. The food was adequate. The location of the hotel was spectacular and we did have a sea view. Port Patrick is a little gem.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel that has fantastic views from the hill top location and our twin room was spacious. The bathroom was modern with a raised shower cubical and wall panels in place of tiles. Breakfast was fine, but we weren't impressed with the evening meal. The salmon was a bit dry and possibly reheated or frozen.

Enjoyed a lovely relaxing break with our dogs. The staff were brilliant, very dog friendly, separate dining area that the dogs were allowed was perfect. Meal on the first night was excellent, sorry I didn't take pictures. Breakfast was also excellent. Room was clean and adequate for our stay. Beautiful views from the hotel on the hill, looking over Portpatrick. Nice walks, path down to the port and shops. Apart from the rainy weather, we had a fabulous time and would definitely love to go back when the sun is shining to enjoy the views on the hotel terrace.

Room average but clean no view but we had a dog so always limited. Food was lovely and separate lounge for people with dogs made us feel welcome. Hotel had spectacular views of the town and harbour we enjoyed our stay.

Had a lovely time celebrating my birthday, views are amazing, hotel staff friendly & helpful, cannot fault the food either. Only issue we had is the room was freezing even corridor when heading to room was freezing. First part of hotel is warm but feel the cold when going to far side. Water tap had hot notice i ran tap for 15 mins water not warm was cold. Shower took 10mins to come through warm too. Small electric wall heater too small for size of room. I did mention to staff that room and corridor freezing and staff commented the side we were at is cold!! I would go back to hotel but not during winter months and request we dont get room 113 or in that side if building. Hotel drink is reasonable priced and do recommend a visit so get amazing views of town, harbour and sea

We were a group of 6 siblings, in late middle age. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, if I had one slight negative it was the amount of space round the toilet. We were not too big and managed fine and the showers were powerful. The food and the staff however were excellent, especially the waiting and reception staff. One of the young girls called Olivia, she was a gem and kept our cheeky brother in check and was very informative about things to see. Full marks all round.

Had a lovely couple of nights at this hotel. Entrance hallway, bar and restaurant were really nice. Room was clean and comfortable apart from window needing replaced (I do believe they are in the process of replacing windows at the moment) bathroom was in need of a serious update but it was clean. Great position looking over the harbour and out to the sea. All in all, we very much enjoyed our break ?

We spent 2 nights here last weekend. This hotel has a commanding position up on the hill over looking the village. We upgraded our room to a room with a view & it was certainly worth it. The view was stunning. It was a twin room as that was all that was left but I phoned prior to our arrival & requested our beds be put together which was kindly done for us. The room was very spacious & clean & fresh. The toilet was small but adequate. The shower could have benefited from the grouting renewed & a shower screen rather than a curtain but otherwise everything was fine. The hotel public areas are clean & bright. The bar was comfortable & prices reasonable.Breakfast was buffet style & very good & the waiting staff were very nice. We did not eat dinner in the hotel but we did have a light lunch one day on the veranda & it was very nice. The views from the veranda were stunning. All in, this was a lovely hotel & we would most certainly return.

Nice room which was an upgrade ( we requested this ). Good view across the harbour which was lovely at night while sitting with a glass in your hand, comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. The head receptionist was very helpful and friendly ( she was a mini tourist information centre ) and the young waitress who served us at dinner was very nice and friendly, overall a nice comfy relaxing hotel, we would recommend this hotel as a base or just to take it nice and easy.

Hotel in a fabulous location…we checked in to nice cheery receptionist..given room 14 which had two single beds…a little on the small side but fabulous view from small window overlooking car park…beds could really do with mattress protectors…shower room fine but omg the amount of black mould in the shower cubicle was very unhygienic…ended up buying product and cleaned ourselves….overall an enjoyable stay with good service and nice food…would return but to another room..
