Worst hotel ever kept awake till four in the morning by drunk arseholes who shouldnt be allowed our themselves and the council should be ashamed of themselves not a good advert for tourism wont be back.

It was ok. The food was ok. The rooms were ok. Staff were ok. Prices were ridiculous. Very central as next to station. Won't be returning.

staff and food excellent,paid supplement for superior room which while quiet was disappointing,especially the bathroom. I appreciate that with a victorian building there are limits to the amount of upgrading that can take place but i grudged the extra

The hotel public areas are well kept and the staff are plesant & friendly. There was evidence of a leak in the ceiling area of our room which was painted over during our stay after we reported it. Only source of heating in the large bathroom was a towel rail so it always felt cold and the shower needs attention. We were on the 3rd floor and the lift did not always work. Not quite the relaxing break we envisaged! Positive notes the bed was comfortable and the breakfast good.

Fourth time we have stayed at this reasonably priced comfortable city centre hotel and have enjoyed every visit, and observed steady improvements to the hotel decor etc. over the years.

The staff were excellent and could not do enough for you. Food was very good however the wine list for Dinner was very expensive. Bar prices were reasonable.The bedrooms were of a very good standard and had plenty of room for clothes etc. I would have no problem recommending this Hotel as our stay was thoroughly enjoyed.

Hotel is in a great location for shopping and train station. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Clean and modern rooms. Small negative was the room was too warm even though the heating was off.

Had a lovely stay as always at The Hallmark Hotel in Carlisle. We have stayed there a few times and would not go anywhere else, the location is excellent, the food is good and the staff are very friendly (particularly Emma on Reception).

The hotel staff were really friendly and breakfast was lovely. The Only downside of this hotel was it was increadibly noisy especially at night and we couldnt sleep a wink...

Didnt like our first room 324.Too enclosed and no bath but was grateful to be moved to another room 302.Although it was rather noisy at night.Needs glazing seeing to.
