The staff couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming and the location is top drawer. 3-4 min walk from the station, on the doorstep of everything on the town.

The staff are a credit to this hotel. Really friendly, welcoming and go the extra mile. The hotel is nearly fully refurbished and the lift was not in operation so the young man on reception was kind enough to carry our luggage upstairs for us. They seem to be short staffed with the staff on duty multi-tasking, although they are very busy it's always service with a smile. The stair, corridors and bedrooms have all been newly carpeted and the rooms refurbished. Bedrooms are well equipped with really comfortable beds and pillows. The bar area is modern and relaxed although the bemed short staffed. Thank you to the staff for a lovely stay

Stayed 5th September 2017

We booked into this hotel on 5th September to be greeted by a lovely young lady on the reception. Nothing was to much trouble for her and even was ok with giving her name Hannah. She is a credit to the company as she went out of her way to get me a room with a shower (due to me forgetting to ask). We totally enjoyed our stay rooms with clean all the staff were very helpful and our breakfast's were lovely plenty to choose from. If we ever we go back to Hartlepool this is where we will be staying.

Had a pleasant one night stay. Room was clean and comfortable. The TV was a bit small for the room - especially given where it was mounted. The sports bar is an unusual yet welcome addition to a hotel of this type. Good choice at breakfast. Friendly staff at all times

Stayed for just one night in a suite. The room was massive and easily held the two double beds and sofa. The hotel transports you back in time, it has very ceilings and the lifts creaks a bit, but it all adds to the character. We will definitely book again as it was really good value for the money.

Got a great deal on a suite for a couple of nights. The room was huge. There was plenty of space and the furniture really comfy. The decor around the hotel is in need of a little TLC in places but certainly not scruffy by any means. The rooms were warm and the staff were excellent at all times. We dined in the Indian restaurant which is technically located in the cellar. Again the staff were warm and friendly and the food was enjoyable. The bar area was very busy due to England playing. The atmosphere was good humoured and the staff worked hard to keep everyone happy. On the whole no complaints.
