Fab location, hotel was clean and well presented. There was a coach party in the hotel and the organisation for breakfast and evening meal was very good. The bar area and entertainment lounge was brill, the staff worked so hard to accommodate everyone, the entertainment each night was an added bonus. The staff were all pleasant, friendly and helpful, our room had a lovely view over the bay. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return, it’s obvious that the owners are in the process of refurbishing the hotel and are doing a great job.

All in all the hotel was excellent just a couple of small gripes. The small shelf in the bathroom was loose as was the loo roll holder. The window could not be locked as the handle was jammed but it could still be pulled closed just not locked which as far as security goes would not matter as it was not on ground level. Th food was very good and the service was brilliant

Enjoyed our stay which was extended for another night. All the staff was very helpful,polite and friendly also professional. The first night we had the dinner which was ample but found the chicken too dry and not enough sauce. Excellent breakfast. Will stop there again.

Bedroom was small but very clean with room serviced every day Bathroom basic but clean and functional. There was a choice of 3 items for each course at dinner and biggest criticism would be the fact that we were served tinned vegetables Breakfast was self service with plenty of choice and satisfactory quality. There is a large and comfortable, newly decorated Lounge/ Bar with entertainment on Saturday night. It should be noted there is only a very small car park (bookable in advance) otherwise the hotel provide a permit to park free on the streets . Two things stand out. No.1. Fantastic Staff. Cheerful and polite who provided excellent service at all times. No 2. The View from the Dining Room and Bedroom if you book a sea view.. Must be the best view in Scarborough overlooking the North Bay. Taking everything into consideration I would class it as a typical seaside hotel offering value for money. Would I stay there again. Upon arrival the hotel looked quite shabby from the outside needing a good paint and tidy! Upon entering we were pleasantly surprised with the decor and furnishings looked as though it has had a makeover lovely! After sorting out a problem with our booking we were given the key to room 117 which the receptionist stated this is our best room! The room was very large with a balcony and great sea views and well decorated and very clean, at dinner we had a window table overlooking the sea, the assistant manager came over to take our order we then requested wine she stated if you want wine you will have to wait as I'm covering in here and busy! She then served the starter so I asked again for wine it then arrived with the main course! The food was of a poor quality "mostly frozen" and over cooked, we both left most of the meal, we asked for the sweet menu but there was only one choice left! So we left! Breakfast was good, entertainment was good, overall the hotel is very nice but the Food & Dining Service lets it down badly! Don't like the amount of "tip" boxes situated in the dining room, lounge, bar areas.

Had a lovely two days, all the staff were lovely and friendly. Room was clean and lovely sea view. Big thanks especially to reception who went above and beyond in helping our daughter make our last evening meal special. Was very much appreciated

Very nice hotel although could do with some refurbishment, the staff were very friendly, and Martin was funny at the meet n greet with his jokes. Our double room was comfortable and clean, with a side sea view, and a very hot shower. The food served was of good quality and tasty.

Breakfast was delicious and Staff were wonderful, polite and so courteous but not invasive. A wonderful place to stay.

Lovely refurbished room with a view over the north bay. Food in the restaurant was very good and well cooked. The staff were polite and the service was excellent. The hotel was clean and tidy. Only downside was the Wifi (Cloud) was a very poor signal. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff were really friendly and helpful the meal we had at dinner was lovely and the breakfast was exceptional. Room was lovely and spacious and clean
